Scope/PurposeofthePosition:

TheHygiene Promoter WASH will play a critical role in the implementation of the Water,Sanitation,andHygiene(WASH)projectinresponsetothe2022flood.Thispositioniswithinwillinvolves working closely with the local community, stakeholders, and project team members toensureeffective hygienepromotion andbehaviorchangeinterventions.

InthecontextoftheWASHintervention,safeguardandimprovethepublichealthoftheaffectedpopulationby:

• promotingsafeHygienepractices,includingtheproperuseandmaintenanceofWASH/WASHinfrastructureandservices;
• ensuringappropriatecommunityinvolvementinthedesignanddeliveryofessentialWASH/WASH servicesandinfrastructure
• ensuringthecoordinationandeffectiveintegrationofhygienepromotionactivities withtheprovision ofwaterservices.

OrganizationoftrainingforHPvolunteers.

Manageandleadthe HPvolunteerteam incoordinationwiththeHQs,office.

• ·

Incooperation withtheHPteamdesign,planandmanagetheimplementationofthehygienepromotionstrategyofthe PakistanMonsoon Floodsoperation.

• ·

Community hygiene promotion to work on good hygiene practices with members of thetargeted communitiesincludingthe vulnerablegroups.

• ·

Developandimplementacomprehensivehygienepromotionstrategyandactionplanin

coordinationwiththeprojectteam.

• ·

Conductassessmentstoidentifyhygiene-relatedneedsandgapsintheaffected

communities.

• ·

Providetechnicalguidanceandsupporttocommunityvolunteersandotherstakeholders

onhygienepromotionactivities.

• ·

Plananddeliverhygienepromotionsessions,workshops,andawarenesscampaignsto

promotesafewater,sanitation,andhygienepractices.

• ·

Collaboratewithlocalauthorities,communityleaders,andpartnerorganizationsto

ensuretheintegrationandsustainabilityofhygienepromotioninterventions.

• ·

Monitorandevaluatetheeffectivenessofhygienepromotionactivitiesandprovide

regularprogressreports.

• ·

Coordinatewiththeprojectteamtoensurethetimelyprocurementanddistributionof

hygienekitsandotherrelevantmaterials.

• ·

Conductregularfieldvisitstomonitortheimplementationofhygienepromotion

activitiesandprovideon-sitesupportandguidanceasneeded.

• ·

Facilitatetheformationandtrainingofcommunityhygienecommitteestopromote

communityownershipandsustainabilityofhygienepractices.

• ·

Liaisewithrelevantstakeholders,includinggovernmentdepartments,NGOs,andcommunity-basedorganizations,toensurecoordinationandeffectiveimplementationof

theproject.

• ·

AnyotherdutiesasassignedbytheManagement.

Education

Bachelor'sdegreefromrecognizedInstitution.

Experience&Knowledge

• At least two year of practical experience in managing plans.
• Experienceand understanding of hygiene promotion  and community mobilisation in relation to water and sanitation activities.
• Understanding of international healthissues,development work and humanitarian issues.
• Sensitivity to the needs and priorities of disaster-affected populations.
• Demonstrated experience in integrating gender and diversity issues into publichealthpromotion.

• Good command of spoken and written English for reporting purposes.
