Know our Team / Project

Nutrition International is embarking on a new three-year project funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) to support Government of Pakistan’s (GoP) plans for the transition and scale up of Multiple Micronutrient Supplementation (MMS) at national level.  This project blends Nutrition International's operational and technical expertise across the country, regional and headquarters. It builds on years of maternal nutrition programming both in Pakistan and across the globe.

About you

Youare a Postgraduate in nutrition, public health, international development and/or a related field.

Around 10 years of cumulative project management experience with NGOs, UN agencies or similar organizations with at least 5 years of experience working in Pakistan on complex development programming.

Fluency in English& Urdu is required. And Knowledge of other regional languages like regional languages like Pashtu, Sindhi, Baluchi, etc is an advantage.

About the role

This position reports to the Country Director and is responsible for the strategic planning, design, development and implementation of the project and MMS delivery, ensuring delivery in a timely and cost-effective manner. The position holder will bring expertise in public health project management. The position holder will manage project sub-partners and liaise with policy and decision-makers at the national and provincial levels to gain high-level support for the project. The position will ensure continued engagement with stakeholders at national and state level to nurture the enabling environment for MMS. 

In this role you will be responsible to:

·         Articulate project scope, goals, activities, and deliverables and ensure they are understood by project staff, implementing partners and stakeholders.  This includes the accountability for the project charter, GANTT chart and overall project workplan and budget.

·         Guide the implementation of project activities and ensure that NI project staff and implementing partners execute the project according to the approved project plan.

·         Work with GTS to develop knowledge products throughout the project, including synthesizing learnings from the feasibility studies, supporting soft and hard launches of technical reports and other key outputs, and disseminating findings at multiple opportunities with key stakeholders in partnership with the GoP.

·         Support the MEAL Officer to ensure that a project wide MEAL plan is in place and understood by all project stakeholders.

·         Develop quarterly cash flow projections and monitor actuals and review variance analysis monthly to ensure the project operates within its budget parameters.

·         Ensure that all project positions are staffed in a timely manner and that new staff receive appropriate orientation to the project.

·         Build and strengthen relationships with key project stakeholders and implementing partners to ensure that the project is harmonized with other donor-funded projects/programs and facilitates government leadership and ownership.
