Introduction: PODA is a women rights organization working for the promotion and protection of human rights in rural areas of Pakistan since 2004. From January 2023, PODA has started a three-year project in 41 districts of Punjab titled “Reduce Early Marriages to Enhance Gender Equality”. The goal of the project is to increase knowledge of adolescent girls, families, duty bearers, communities, religious and political leaders, judiciary, police, media and civil society groups about the health and education rights of girls and to work collectively for a legal amendment to increase the minimum age of marriage for girls from 16 to 18 years in Punjab and promote and protect girls right to education and a healthy life.

JOB Description: The Social Mobilizerwill work under the supervision of Project Officer based in PODA’s Lahore office in Samanabad to implement field activities in 15 districts of central Punjab around Lahore. The Social Mobilizer will ensure compliance with office policies for program activities, admin and finance procedures and deliver reports on time with the required MOVs. The Social Mobilizer will prepare Daily report including daily Data Entry of the activities completed and get approval from Project Officer. Specific responsibilities of this post include but are not limited to following:

1. Enter data of daily activities including registration sheets of project activities held in the field
2. Prepare travel plans and organize logistics for the field trips including promotional materials
3. Take minutes of the meeting and assist the project officer to conduct meetings in the field
4. Deliver social mobilizing sessions according to the manual of the project on the specific topics
5. Identify project beneficiaries and coordinate with them for project activities in local areas
6. Develop expert knowledge of project documents to prepare accurate talking points for sessions
7. Coordinate with PODA Rural Women Leaders at district level to organize community sessions
8. Travel to project districts to deliver sessions and collect case studies, success stories, challenges
9. Identify local legislators, government officials, community influencers, media to set up meetings
10. Inform project team of emerging issues related to project thematic areas to prepare responses
11. Prepare local activity&travel budget weeklyfor approval and submit report & receipts weekly
12. Ensure full documentation of project data- &visibility in local media and in local networks.
13. Follow PODA’s organizational human resource, project implementation and admin policies
14. Attend Weekly Webinar, staff meetings, training and assist with organizational work as needed.

Qualification Required:

• BA with at least 5 years of office work experience in NGO, marketing or government offices
• Excellent social mobilization skills, community presentation and public interaction in rural areas
• Proficient in Punjabi and Urdu languages with excellent communication skills for public messages
• Experienced in use of office computer, Urdu typing and Excel for budget and report writing

• Effective communication skills, team work, honesty, time management, attention to details, knowledge of rights based approach, able to travel, problem solving skills & grace under pressure.
