We are looking for a Medical Assistant (roving) to support Male Medical Officer (roving) during his OPD consultations through data entry of patient in a register, and check temperature, pulse, weight, and blood pressure of the patients, and enter laboratory investigation results of the patients in the register. Dealing with patients/their caregivers in a very polite way. Assist health facility In-charge in monthly data compilation and preparing of report for the project office. Working closely with other team members to demonstrate the spirit of teamwork.

Main Responsibilities / Duties

• Enter patient data in the OPD register.
• Check temperature, pulse, weight, and blood pressure of each patient as advised by the doctor.
• Record all vital findings in the OPD register.
• Deal patients in a very polite and humble way.
• Guide patients/their caregivers to pharmacy to collect the medicines.
• Assist health facility In-charge in data compilation and monthly report preparation.
• Participate in Malteser International field assessments and data compilation.

Core qualifications: 

• Diploma in Health Technology.
• At least 3 years’ working experience in the health sector.
• Familiar with patient data registration process.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Pashtu language is a Must.
• Familiarity with Pashtun culture and customs is mandatory.
• Previous working experience within Afghan Refugee setup will be a Plus.
