THE ROLE-HR ASSISTANT

The purpose of this role is to ensure that all administration linked to the Human Resource functions run smoothly with support to HR Manager in recruitment, contract management and day to day HR support to the project field teams and support to Centre HR work. Specific duties are varied and can encompass most areas on the operational side of the HR functions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Assist in preparation of staff/consultant contracts
  • Assist in recruitment process
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Assist in the implementation of Human Resource policies and procedures
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Acts as a liaison between the organization and external service providers and vendors for staff enrolment in EOBI, Health Insurance and Life Insurance.
  • Prepare HR letters.
  • Act & liaison as focal person for day to day HR related matters for the Centre.
  • Performs other HR duties as assigned.

ABOUT YOU

Education & Experience

  • Hons. degree in HR or Management, at least 3 years of experience in HR functions with reputable national or international organization. However, additional HR qualification will be considered an asset.
  • Familiar with minimum employment law standards. Strong IT skills on HR system and Microsoft Office.

  • Comfortable working on one’s own initiative as well as following advice.
  • Robust with the operational grip and capacity to handle a demanding workload.
  • Flexible and creative in planning and problem solving.

ROLE DETAILS

Grade: 3

Reporting to: HR Manager

Contract duration: 01 Year (extendable)

Key Peer group: Project Managers, Finance, Admin
