Communication Officer
Grade C3
Reporting to: Coordinator Communication.
Duty Station: GB
Work Week: 5 days (Monday through Friday) - 40 hrs /week
Work Hours: 08:30 hrs to 17:15 hrs
Duration: Long term - 12 Months
Number of positions: 01
Duties and Responsibilities
Under the guidance and supervision of the Coordinator Communication, the Communication Officer will perform the following duties:

The Communications Officer will work closely with the communication coordinator to ensure that relevant program materials such as human Interest Stories, donor reports, factsheets, infographs etc. are developed and disseminated to donors and target groups through relevant media and network channels.

Assist the communication department in designing media campaigns, developing publicity materials and producing content for the social media.

Develop and maintain contact information, materials and relationships with journalists and media outlets (print, TV, radio, web etc.) in GB and KP to increase coverage for WRAP interventions.

Monitor and evaluate the use and effectiveness of media materials. Maintain a library of media coverage, clippings etc.

Assist in organizing and generating public support for special events and campaigns to promote strategic conservation goals. Support organization of workshops, seminars, campaigns, events and project review meetings including agendas and meeting minutes.
Qualification and Experience:

Bachelors Degree in communications, journalism, public relations or a related field.

Well versed with MS office, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe premiere,

Local candidates with editing, design and photography skills will be preferred.
