Pakistan Red Crescent Society invites applications of qualified and dynamic candidates for the following position on purely contract basis based in District Larkana, Khairpur, Shikarpur, KSK & Dadu of Sindh Province.
District Y&V Officer - (05 position)
General Preferences:
- Bachelors in Social Sciences or relevant field from HEC Recognized Institution
- 1 Years relevant experience in a reputed organization
- Strong knowledge of social mobilization and survey tools.
- Experience in conducting surveys is an advantage.
- Work towards the achievement of PRCS Vision and long-term objectives
- Flexibility to travel to conduct field visits for monitoring and data collection
- Good command on Microsoft Office (word, excel & power point)
- Preference will be given to candidates having working experience of Managing Youth & Volunteer Projects
- The local candidate of the respective districts will be preferred considering the job requirements
- Preference will be given to the candidates with PRCS experience
- Maximum Age limit up to 45 Years
JOB & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct baseline surveys/assessments.
- Recruit, train, and supervise district volunteers to ensure they are well-prepared for disaster response activities. Provide ongoing support, guidance, and recognition to maintain a motivated volunteer base.
- Engage with flood-affected communities to assess their needs and identify areas where volunteers can provide the most impactful assistance.
- Assist in Preparation and submission of financial and activities report in accordance with time schedule.
- collaborate schools, colleges, universities, communities for orientation of Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement and establishment of Youth and Volunteer clubs
- Conduct of trainings for Volunteers in Community Based Disaster Preparedness and First Aid etc. in coordination with all relevant stakeholders
- Assist in the formation of Core Response Teams at all levels and ensure availability of volunteers for distribution of relief goods among the affected communities of natural and man-made disaster.
- Assist in organizing public awareness campaigns to educate communities on disaster preparedness, response, and recovery.
- Collaborate with local schools, colleges, and youth organizations to recruit and engage young volunteers interested in contributing to flood relief efforts.
- Conduct training sessions for volunteers to equip them with the necessary skills, knowledge, and best practices for disaster response, including first aid, relief distribution, and psychosocial support.
- Maintaining computerized data-base of volunteers and also Maintain accurate records of volunteer activities, relief distribution, and community engagement. Generate regular reports on volunteer contributions and impact achieved.
- Assist in Regular monitoring and evaluation of youth & volunteer program to ensure implementation as per planned objective
- Assist in fundraising efforts to secure resources and supplies needed for flood relief activities, in coordination with the PRCS team.
- Ensure that all volunteer activities adhere to safety standards and protocols, and follow PRCS and international humanitarian guidelines.
- Any other duty assigned by the PRCS Senior Management.
