Job Title: Assistant Director Legal Affairs ( Grade – 17)

Position Objectives:

Assistant Director-Legal is expected to support in overseeing and managing all legal matters within the organization. He/She shall support day to day legal responsibilities and providing legal advice that includes all the aspects of the analysis, investigation and drafting process. He/She shall ensure the organizational compliance with laws and regulations, contracts and handle disputes.

Specific Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities

  •  

Provide legal counsel and advice to different departments on legal matters.

  •  

Identify potential legal risks and suggest proactive strategies to mitigate them.

  •  

Stay up-to-date with legal developments that could influence the Organization.

  •  

Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including vendor agreements, client contracts, employment agreements, and more.

  •  

Ensure contracts comply with legal requirements and organizational policies.

  •  

Monitor and ensure the organizational compliance with local, regional, and international laws and regulations.

  •  

Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.

  •  

Handle legal disputes, claims, and litigation involving the organization.

  •  

Collaborate with external legal counsel when necessary.

  •  

Strive for cost-effective and efficient resolution of legal issues.

  •  

Advise senior management on legal implications of strategic initiatives.

  •  

Collaborate with external legal counsel, government agencies, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders as required.

  •  

Participate in negotiations, meetings, and interactions with external parties.

  •  

Any other task assigned by the Management.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Law from HEC recognized Institution/University.

Experience

02 years proven experience in a similar role/Field.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to identify key issues and present legal advice and decisions in a precise and understandable manner.

  • Experience in risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial law, contract law, and relevant regulations.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
