Location                     :           Regional Office, Islamabad

Work Week                 :           5 Days (Monday to Friday)

Work Hours                :            8:30am To 5:15pm

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Perform desk research to gather the secondary data about waste collection and disposal practices in local and international context
  2. Carry out comprehensive field visits (waste assessments/sampling) and survey Interviews to collect primary data of Used Cartons in the scope areas. Mark GPS coordinates of each location
  3. Conduct detailed interviews with the formal and informal waste management sector as per the sample size, in the scope areas.
  4. Gather and record physical sample data and social survey data on regular basis
  5. Develop the survey client list and conduct questionnaire surveys among focus groups, maintain liaison with the government departments and other associated stakeholders.
  6. Perform data tabulation with the help of necessary tools (excel/SPSS)
  7. Maintain proper financial record; income and expenses of the projects/programs
  8. Develop content for surveys, project update presentations and capacity building workshops for relevant stakeholdersAssist in arranging events, campaigns, workshops, meetings and seminars.
  9. Assist in research for developing fundraising proposals on the theme of Climate and Energy, Waste management, Plastics, Sustainability, etc.
  10. Provide support to other projects and initiatives of WWF-Pakistan such as Monitoring and Evaluation of Plastics, Youth Engagement, Projects on Plastics, etc.
  11. Any other input required by WWF-Pakistan and assigned by respective supervisor

Education, Experience & Working Knowledge

ü  Bachelors or Masters’ degree in Environmental Engineering/Sciences or social sciences related field

ü  Past experience with field visits/mobilization will be an advantage;

ü  Should be familiar with the geographical areas in Islamabad;

ü  Familiarity with the waste management issues in Pakistan will be an advantage

ü  Demonstrate ability to effectively work with people with different cultural backgrounds. Demonstrate experience in working with government, civil society and corporate sector;

ü  Familiarity with the waste management issues in Pakistan
