Main Responsibilities:

  • Implementing psychosocial activities and providing psychological consultations on regular basis.
  • Provide capacity building for the community mobilizers and Gender Support Groups on awareness raising, identification and referral of clients form the community.
  • Provide support to the curriculum development process for the workshops to ensure that components of psychosocial principles are incorporated. 
  • Develop technical reports and success stories on specific cases identified during the individual psychological support sessions along with best practices and lesson learned.
  • Regularly mentor Gender Support Groups members and conduct monthly meetings.
  • Facilitate the formation of self-help groups and technically supporting these groups in conducting meetings.
  • Provide awareness on efficacy of self-help groups to the members.
  • Arrange and conduct seminars, event, coordination meetings and other awareness related activities at targeted Field area.
  • Assist Program officers in trainings and other project related activities.
  • Conduct Bi annuals exit interviews and capacity assessment of GSGs as per project need.
  • Assist in conducting need assessments in the targeted areas as per need.
  • Compile activity reports and data entry.
  • Facilitate the community to pass their complaints to the management through CBFRM in a transparent manner.

Case Management:

  • Provide comprehensive case management including: assessment, long-term care plan, progress monitoring and referrals.
  • Provide psychosocial support to cases referred by the team in line with case plan objectives.
  • Ensure all work with clients is confidential and that ethical practices are observed. 
  • Document client data accurately in the intake forms and ensure they are under lock and key. 
  • Closely monitor and document the psychological progress of registered cases.
  • Refer cases and liaise with other stakeholders.

 

Other duties as assigned:

The duties and responsibilities listed are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive. The fluid nature of response requires personnel to adapt to a rapidly changing landscape; duties may be reconfigured to meet operational requirements.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Psychology.
  • Previous NGO experience will be preferred.

  • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent self-motivation skills
  • Demonstrated analytical, motivational, communication, project conceptualization and planning skill
  • Extremely flexible, and have the ability to cope with stressful situations and frustrations
  • Ability to relate to and motivate staff effectively
  • Excellent decision-making skills
  • Must work independently under difficult conditions
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • Fluency in spoken Regional Languages. Communication in National & International Language will be an edge.
