Participatory Village Development Programme – PVDP started its development journey from District Tharparkar in 1997. Mr. Dominic Stephen, founder of PVDP, realized the gravity of the situation and the complex socio-psycho and economic problems of the Thari communities and established PVDP in 1997.

PVDP is working in the most challenging, poverty and disaster-stricken districts of Sindh Province to support the most vulnerable people. From 1997, PVDP has been engaged in drought mitigation programs in District Tharparkar and Mirpurkhas and supported thousands of families to make them drought resilient.

PVDP is planning to implement project on Integrated Livelihood, WASH, DRR & Shelter assistance to flood affected communities in district Mirpurkhas- Sindh Pakistan. With financial support of Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe - DKH. The project duration is 15 months (Starting from Mid - June 2023).

l  Prepare sketches and design of hand pumps and water Pond and Shelters infrastructures.

l  To identify appropriate location for installing Hand pumps, selection of sites for water tank construction.

l  Prepare or revise BoQ’s for evacuation routes.

l  Provide direction and technical advice on technical design and installation of infrastructures

l  Ensuring quality of supply material received from vendors and supervising construction activities in field level.

l  Supervise the construction works and installation to ensure quality and cost efficiency.

l  Verify all bills for payment of vendor as per work done on the site

l  Present the progress of technical aspects of projects in front of the representatives                                                from partner/donor organization during their field visits.

l  Building capacity of local skilled unskilled labor to build improved community level structures.

l  Facilitate the M&E and mobilization team with regard to data, progress, timelines, BOQs, Drawing and quality of work.

l  Responsible to prepare all relevant project documents at office & village level.

-        Master’s degree and Diploma in

Civil Engineering 

-        3-4 years working experience in development sector.

-        Have good understanding on Sphere Standards

-        Highly organized and flexible

-        Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and other local languages.

-        Ability to do multitasks and meet changing deadlines.

-        Must be self-directed, self- motivated, and able to complete tasks with limited supervision.

-        Working            knowledge                             of infrastructure                              designing software, electronic mailing, scheduling, spreadsheets, and presentation software.

-        Readily available at short notice when needed.
