SHRRP Background
The Sindh Housing Recovery and Reconstruction Platform (SHRRP) is Platform of all stakeholders engaged to support Sindh People’s Housing for Flood Affectees (SPHF) in housing reconstruction and settlement recovery process. The goal of SHRRP is “Flood families live in resilient homes and communities in Sindh.” The SHRRP will provide support SPHF to support strategic planning, coordination and cooperation with the national and international Organizations, the private sector, and public associations engaged in post-flood Sindh housing recovery process. The platform will ensure that SPHF led technical assistance and information management are streamlined, disseminated, and communicated at all levels. Prioritize Fund raising strategy and flexible resource mobilization to cover up gaps and provide necessary capacity building support to SPHF and partners is the major objective of the platform.
Job Summary:
As Information Management Specialist of the SHRRP, you will manage the Information Management team at SHRRP. You will provide technical advice, guidance, and support to SHRRP senior management team and a wide range of program design and implementation issues in line with SHRRP strategy, Catholic Relief Services (CRS) program quality principles and standards, donor guidelines, and industry best practices to regional and Country Program (CP) teams to advance the delivery of high-quality programming to the poor and vulnerable. Your technical knowledge, advice and guidance will contribute to determining how effective, adaptive and innovative SHRRP is to contribute to post-flood recovery and reconstruction process.
Roles and Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and contribute to the implementation of agency-wide strategies, standards, tools and best practices in disaster response shelter and settlements coordination that effectively engage partner organizations, governments and other relevant stakeholders for Information Management.
- Contribute to the development of the technical design for proposals. Support the process of preparation and design.
- Technically manage the Information Management team, including planning, organizing, and reporting. Effectively manage talent, including management team dynamics and team members well-being. Provide coaching, strategically tailor individual development plans, and complete performance management for direct reports.
- Lead the Information Management team in liaising with government authorities at national and district level to enable SHRRP team as well as stakeholders avoid gaps and duplications.
- Support the Information Management capacity strengthening initiatives for staff, Government, and partner through helping develop learning and training strategies and agendas/curriculums, conducting trainings and workshops, and coaching.
- Provide technical solutions to the Information Management Team remotely and on-site, to support Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning that ensures high-quality implementation. SHRRP requires emphasis on capturing the processes, challenges and lessons learned from the Recovery and Reconstruction efforts in Pakistan.
- Collect and analyze program data, capture and share lessons learned and best practices for specific projects to facilitate improvements in decision-making and contribute to the Information Management Learning, Research and Publications.
- Support localization of Information Management systems, best practices and lessons learned into national, provincial, and local governments to ensure sustainability and long-term impact of SHRRP.
Basic Qualification
- Master’s degree or any other equivalent degree in Information Management, Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited academic institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in similar roles with an I/NGO or UN agencies in information management experience related to emergency response or recovery programming.
- Demonstrated ability to represent the organization at coordination meetings with donors, local government, coordination bodies, and other international NGOs.
- Experience in data analysis, 4/5W reporting, data visualization, development to info products, producing maps and dashboards.
- Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Web Conferencing Applications, information management systems.
- Experience in ArcGIS or any enterprise GIS software, Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) and software development tools
Required/Desired Foreign Language
- Able to clearly communicate in written and spoken English. Local Language in preferred.
Travel Required
- Must be able to travel to the Sindh province (40% of travel in field)

Technical Supervisory Responsibilities: Hub Team- Information Management Officers.
Key Working Relationships:
Internal: National Coordinator, Provincial Coordinator, Technical Coordinator, Communication Specialist, MEAL Officer, Hub teams, CRS Pakistan team.
External: SPHF information management specialist, EY, SPHF and government information managers and other Stakeholders including UN, Red Cross, Donors, and Partner Organizations working in Recovery and Reconstruction Universities, Associations, Private Sector, media and Community Groups.
