AKHS, P is looking for a seasoned and dynamic Field Supervisor Cum M&E Officer in Regional Office, Gilgit under CASI Project.

The Field Supervisor Cum M&E officer will be overall in charge of field activities in the region and ensure the timely data collection and quality of Data. The person will also assist Project Manager to plan and implement nutrition intervention program in the region in an effective way that is leading by Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervisor of field activities in the region, and make sure the smooth implementation of the program
  • Overall responsible for designing and implementing the M&E activities of the Project and make sure the quality of data
  • Oversees the day-to-day administration of the impact area
  • Liaises with all relevant departments to upkeep the program
  • Supervise Program LHVs and Data Officer
  • Prepares and submit report regularly to Project/Program Manager
  • Conduct regular data quality spot checks in project implementation areas and conduct random assessment and shadow visit
  • Review raw data in the field, identify gaps, errors, missing information
  • Make sure the right allocation of children and women in treatment groups
  • Supervise and mentor program LHVs and LHWs on data quality and record keeping and data maintenance
  • Make sure the regular and timely data entry in software/App
  •  Conduct regular meetings with LHVs/ LHWs and LHS to improve data quality and to reduce lost to follow-up
  • Monitor project activities, outputs and progress towards anticipated results
  • Ensure all staff have sufficient skills and knowledge to implement the project
  • Provide alerts to LHWs and LHVs for defaulted cases to avoid delays and flag operational issues for timely actions
  • Ensure that nutrition program is implemented according to the CASI protocol i.e. SAM children admission and discharge criteria and growth measurement
  • Closely monitor all the project activities and management of SAM cases in OPTs and stabilization centers
  • Review existing monitoring mechanism and design a Monitoring and Evaluation plan of the project and ensure the same is followed up during implementation
  • Develop quality assurance tools with the assistance of Project Managers and collaboration of LHVs, LHS and DEO
  • Compile the collected dataset of different villages in the project database and health management information system in timely manner and per the set deadlines
  • Responsible to gather and retrieve growth monitoring/LBWs related dataset from the government existing management information systems
  • Establish good working relationship with regional health department and data management team of DOH
  • Generate periodic reports and share with LHVs and LHWs to review the progress
  • Develop monthly, quarterly, or annual data reports depending on project requirements and PMF
  • Organize weekly, monthly, quarterly report of OTP/ITPS outreach and report on time to the program manager
  • Assist in conducting need base qualitative and quantitative assessment in the project areas

 

Education, Experience & Competencies

 

  • At least Bachelor or  Masters level qualification in either social science, public health, particularly nutrition and Statistic
  • Minimum three-year demonstrable nutrition project coordination and supervision experience particularly in the mountainous regions
  • Have Excellent Data supervision, monitoring and analysis skills
  • Experience of implementation program (ideally nutrition related), including monitoring and evaluation
  • Experience in conducting nutrition assessments and an understanding of nutritional data
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders including government
  • Ability and willingness to frequently stay at the field
  • Demonstrable ability at report writing and excellent communication skills Computer literacy on EXCEL and Data analysis skills
