CHILD SAFEGUARDING:
Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Supply Chain Officer is responsible for:
- Keep track of the Purchase requests from sourcing process to delivery as per allocated budget, Grant and partners.
- Maintain Reconrd of all supply chaon process in a standard archieving method.
- Assist Supply Chain Office/Coordinator in their daily tasks
- Assist Supply Chain department in daily fleet management
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Procuring Goods and Services
- Keep track of the submitted PRs from sourcing process up to delivery as per allocated budget, Grant and partners
- Maintain record of all procurement process, POs/Contract/FWAs and mark them archieving standards.
- Assist supply chain in procurement for the country office programme in line with SCI procurement policies, processes and quality standards
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery according to agreed schedules
- Assist and/or Prepare goods received notes and service completion notes for all procurement undertaken, collaborating with programme teams to certifcy the receipt of quality goods and services.
- Assist and/or Prepare documentation to ensure suppliers and service providers are paid on time according to contractual terms and conditions.
- Assist in daily fleet management and vehicle maintenance requirement/fuel bills etc.
Any other task assigned by the supervisor inline within the departments domain and working ethics.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors in Management, Supply Chain or related fields.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Essential
- Minimum 2 years work experience in a supply chain/procurement related role.
- Good technical computer skills including Microsoft Office and other computer software packages required for daily working.
- Good coordination and time management skills, with theability to organise a substantial workload comprised of complex, diverse tasks and responsibilities.
- Strong networking and relationship building skills.
- Working knowledge of written and spoken English.
- Ability to work under pressure in difficult situations.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout the country,
Desirable
- Working experience in a development organization or NGO is preferred.
- Experience in emergency response/humanitarian environments.
- Working experience with online supply chain systems will be an asset.
