Job Description:

The job will involve a large amount of desk & fieldwork. The Project Manager will have to develop a thorough overall knowledge of the projects/programs, so as to be familiar with our organization implementing strategies and so he can effectively report on them.                             

Responsible for:

Project Development and Management:

  • Health Project development, implementation and monitoring of Health Project in Umerkot.
  • Design monitoring formats and procedures and ensure that the same is utilized in the project implementation.
  • Carry out regular monitoring visits to the project areas and produce monitoring reports on timely basis.
  • Initiate monthly and final completion reports for project and forward the same to the Associate Director.
  • Participate in Cluster meetings at the Provincial level.
  • Project Manager is responsible in providing timely recommendations, including changes in work plans and program approaches and strategies to ensure the effective implementation of the projects.
  • Assist in Organisational Development strategies. Establishing new program ideas.

Financial Management:

  • Responsible for budget control and monitoring of project expenses.
  • Coordinate closely with Finance department for the preparation of financial reports and ensure timely submission to donors/partners.
  • Enhance the financial functions, protocols and controls within the department.
  • Promote transparent, accountable financial system and culture in project finances.


  • Maintain close, regular and consistent collaboration with other Teams in organization to ensure united and harmonized programming.
  • Develop or maintain appropriate relationships with all organizations like UN, I/NGOs, government at all levels.
  • Networking and Coordinating with partners as well as holding meetings.
  • Donor liaison and donor relationship building. Corresponding with donors abroad.
  • Maintain mutually supportive relationships with organization’s colleagues in all offices.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Health/DMP and partner agencies at the national and field level. Ensure that the Associate Director and the Deputy Director are kept informed of key decisions, directions, strategies 
  • and policies. Provide Supervisors with input that informs agency decision-making, contributing to strategic direction and policy development. 
  • Represent our organization at provincial  level meetings.
  • Facilitate and host delegations, constituent trips and donor and denominational visits.

Staff Care and Development

  • Supervise and coach the Health team members in project.
  • Identify strengths and gaps of team members and agree upon Staff Development plans.
  • Supporting team members and provide support and guidance in developing and managing their work plans.
  • Delegate work to the team members and ensure accountability at all levels; enable staff to take initiative and be creative.

Staff recruitment, safety and security

  • Assist Associate Director in the recruitment process, participating in the interview process, and providing Project orientation to the new staff.
  • Responsible for timely coordination with the Associate and Deputy Director and other senior managers on all matters and issues related to Security.
  • Managing staff security conducts on the ground as well as liaison with the Security Manager on security issues.

Communications, Reporting and Fund Raising

  • Maintain close, regular and consistent collaboration with other Teams on communications. Position strategically the Communications and Fund Raising function within the organization; manage a cost-effective team.
  • Improve field level communication and external communication; increasing visibility.
  • Liaison with Finance for program financial reports.
