Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Advise and guide the development, including design and formulation of the project initiatives/activities
  • Ensure effective project planning, execution and timely management of all targets and set goals,
  • Develop the project annual work plan in line with project goals and results-based indicators;
  • Provide the overall orientation on the project vision, objectives and deliverables to the team members, and other stakeholders. 
  • Responsible for liaoning in the targeted districts with government, media and other stakeholders
  • Engage/ maintain coordination with local partners/NGO/CBOs who are doing similar work to enhance the outreach and scope of work
  • Responsible to verify the field work, documentation and data collected and/or reported.
  • Responsible for the project administrative and financial management and effective utilization of the resources including staff.
  • To provide support in development of case studies, and related knowledge products and publications;
  • Provide technical support in the project planning, implementation, monitoring and progress reporting.
  • Analyze and ensure alignment of project budget with logical framework matrices and work plans;
  • Provide required support in the preparation of MoVs for the audit and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations of the project; 
  • Finalize relevant documentation as required on donors and develop potential opportunities for resource mobilization.
  • Lead the process of identifying and synthesizing of best practices and lessons learned that are directly linked to the implementation of the project
  • Assist to ensure timely and quality reporting, including monthly, quarterly and annual project reports;
  • Comply with organizational policies and procedures
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor

Experience:

At least 07 years’ relevant experience in project management in the non-profit sector, ideally in GBV and women economic empowerment projects/assignments.

Education:

Master’s degree in Social sciences, Social work, Development studies or similar subject

Skills & Competencies:

  • Knowledge and experience of managing advocacy campaigns on GBV issues
  • Substantial knowledge regarding the programme/project management at field level
  • Proficiency in English language, both in writing and verbal communication
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and representative skills (written, oral, cross-cultural)
  • Positive attitude and ability to multitask and deal with stressful situations.
  • Ability to adapt within the working environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask and work on tight deadlines
