General mission

Reporting to the [Pakistan] Project Manager, ReLAB-HS Project, the project officer contributes to the implementation of the mandate and the 10-year strategy of Humanity & Inclusion in the country where s/he is based. The project officer contributes to the implementation of his/her project, ensuring the optimal quality and the impact of the project. S/he works closely with the programme technical team.

 Missions / responsibilities

 Mission 1: Operational implementation Responsibility 1: Contribute to project planning and implementation in line with the existing frameworks
  • Contribute in the planning of ReLAB-HS interventions in the target district/s and implement the action plan in conjunction with the support services and the technical unit.
  • Coordinate with the key ReLAB-HS stakeholders at provincial and district level, both of public and private, ensure the implementation of interventions in line with the project work plan. 
  • Ensure that activities are implemented and that resources are correctly allocated as authorized by the Project Manager.
  • Ensure regular reporting of field activities, and contribute to the internal and external reporting as requested by the project manager.
  • Contribute to identifying areas of Rehab and AT interventions within province and district for the project, in consultation with the project manager.
  • Contribute in the implementation of the “Network of Care” approach at district level and provide facilitation to key actors/stakeholders including of public sector for their contribution in provision of Rehab and AT services.  
  • Facilitate to the different research studies around the “network of Care” model by key actors of the project and academia in consultation with the project manager.
  • Contribute to coordination with the local stakeholders and facilitate the engagements within the target communities.
  • Ensure that project documents and information are properly archived.
 Responsibility 2: Contribute to project monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning
  • Contribute to project monitoring, specifically activity progress indicators and the expected outcomes.
  • Facilitate the data collection from “network of care” within district and as defined by the Project Manager and Sr. Monitoring Officer on prescribed monitoring tools
  • Contribute to project evaluations at the request of the project manager, and ensure that project evaluation recommendations are followed.
  • Contribute to the setup and smooth running of accountability mechanisms.
  • Contribute to project learning.
 Responsibility 3: Ensure project data management
  • Ensure that the appropriate data collection of project interventions including meetings, trainings, advocacy initiatives, referral and other, by utilizing the standard developed tools of ReLAB-HS MEAL unit.
  • Provide relevant information in compilation of quarterly reports and facilitate Project Manager and MEAL. 
 Responsibility 4: Contribute to the coordination of project teams
  • As authorized by the project manager, facilitate coordination meetings between the project teams and stakeholders, rehab and AT service providers, public sector actors at province and district level.
  • Facilitate the Senior Project Support Officer in organizing the meetings with stakeholders and service Rehab and AT service providers, also in organizing the visits of consortium partners in field.
  • Facilitate the Project Manager in smooth implementation of the implementation of the project in the country and work as a team player for better engaging with other team members.   
 Responsibility 5: Contribute to external project communication
  • Contribute to ReLAB-HS external communication with the prior guidance of Project Manager and communication specialist.
  • Communicate about the project to partners, authorities and stakeholders when relevant.

Required for the job

Qualification: depending on the context:Masters in Social Sciences, Public Health, preferable Doctorate of Physio Therapy (DPT).Experience: four year’s professional experienceFive years or more professional experience in social and community development, primary health care, behavior change or rehabilitation. Experience of working with district health office and Primary Health Care workers at tehsil and BHU level. Experience of report writing and communication with stakeholders, coordination, training and facilitation skills, fluency of English, Urdu and Sindhi. Experience as physio therapist will be an addition.  Willing to move in field within Thatta and in other districts.Applicable framework documents: to be defined
