 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Ensuring effective and timely delivery of agreed outputs and outcomes as set-out in the project documents of “Bringing Inclusive and Sustainable Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Services to Schools in Pakistan” Project.
  2. Work with the Monitoring and Evaluation team on how to interpret and use data/findings to guide targeted interventions and decision making.
  3. As a focal point for the project coordination, she will oversee all WASH project components and delivery in line with objectives, budgets, timelines and standards of the project.
  4. Assist in preparing project proposals, detailed implantation plans and budgets.
  5. Provide technical support and oversight to the field team for effective and efficient implementation of the project in the targeted districts/areas.
  6. Provide field level support through effective engagement with partners/School staff/communities/ stakeholders, conducting regular field visits to review progress and capacity building of the project team to ensure quality of the field interventions.
  7. Ensure quality of infrastructure work to create models for high quality sustainable service provision.
  8. Learn and share about new methodologies in urban MHM work and share knowledge with DevCon team and stakeholders for effective management and innovations in MHM programme work.
  9. Prepare budget variances, analyze field reports and coordinate the actionable points with the stakeholders on regular basis.
  10. Provide a timely programmatic support to field teams to ensure that all activities are consistent with the project design.
  11. Conduct periodic project reviews and prepare project reports for donor as well as for DevCon management periodically.
  12. Maintain and regularly update project repository of all relevant project documents on shared drive.
  13. Supports CEO DevCon in planning and implementation of the MHM/WASH programme work with proactive input and knowledge sharing.
  14. Work collaboratively with all teams within DevCon, keeping them informed of all relevant developments on the project activities as required.
  15. Undertake any other relevant work for the improvement of programme delivery.

EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE:

  1. Degree in Social Science from a HEC recognized university.
  2. Degree/course/certificate in WASH and Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) will be considered as added value.

EXPERIENCE:

  1. 3-5 years’ experience of management of community-based WASH projects particularly in urban settings with a national or an international non-governmental organization.
  2. Good understanding of WASH sector, urban water utilities and community led water and sanitation approaches.
  3. Experience in Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM).
  4. Significant experience of coordination with partners and government departments.

SKILLS:

  1. Project Management Skills.
  2. Ability to observe and understand cultural and social contexts and reflect the understandings in programming
  3. Excellent knowledge of community mobilization with interpersonal skills.
  4. Good written and verbal communication/ presentation skills.
  5. Excellent knowledge of MS Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and web searching/browsing).
  6. Understanding of budget management.

  1. Willingness to spend required time in the field.
  2. Time management and ability to priorities multiple, competing tasks.
  3. Self-motivated person able to work without close supervision.
  4. Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
