I. Organizational Context and Scope
The Community Resilience Activity-North (CRA-N) Project is designed to support community-level resilience development and conflict prevention activities within the newly merged districts (NMDs) of Khyber, Kurram, North Waziristan; Orakzai and the flood-affected districts in all three provinces; In order to help the current flood-hit communities, CRA-North aims to address various needs of people ensuring that they ‘build back better’ with reduced vulnerabilities and become resilient communities. CRA-North will pursue a multi-disciplinary and community-participatory approach and will work in close coordination with the Government of Pakistan (GOP) at the district, regional and national levels.
Under the supervision of the DCOP and the overall supervision of the COP/Program Manager, and in coordination with the RMU the Program Coordinator is required to support the CRA-North programs team for the overall planning and implementation of the activities designed and also for the mainstreaming of gender component in the programming.
II. Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Support the CRA-N in developing ideas and concepts in line with the CRA-North Framework. Collaborate and synchronize CRA-N’s work with the identified ministries and departments at the Federal and provincial levels.
- In close collaboration and coordination with the DCOP, and Regional Team Leader provides the required technical guidance and support in the implementation and monitoring of program activities.
- Maintain a clear understanding of the Resilience Matrix while ensuring that resilience activities are updated weekly, and any related issues are communicated to the relevant team members.
- Identify and build a collaborative network with Implementing Partners, and Government Agencies who are engaged in programming within the target districts and encourage collaboration on research, programming, and advocacy.
- Support and guide the programs team in identifying new ideas in line with the objectives of CRA-N.
- Conduct a stakeholders mapping exercise and develop a stakeholder’s directory to be engaged at the Federal/ Provincial level by the CRA-N and support the DCOP/Regional Team Leader in maintaining CRA-North Project stakeholder relationships within the target districts/ Federal & Regional levels.
- Provide guidance/Training to Regional and District personnel in effective gender resilience approaches to ensure that CRA-North’s gender mainstreaming programming is of the highest quality.
- Maintain a clear understanding of the region and its diverse communities, while contributing to the design and implementation of regional community resilience requirements for CRA-N programming.
- Support the DCOP by assisting implementing partners (IPs) in the planning, execution, and delivery of projects.
- Coordinate the activities of the IP tech Review committee for the engagement of IPs.
- Perform other related duties as required
III)Required Qualifications and Experience
a) Education
Bachelor’s degree in relevant area with 2 years of relevant experience
b) Experience
- Working in Newly Merged Districts.
- Experience working on programming in Countering Violent Extremism, Social Cohesion, Civic Engagement, Reintegration of communities, Resilience, and Protection
- Has knowledge of relevant stakeholders, platforms, and UN working groups
- Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to coordinate complex programs with a diverse range of partners.
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc)
