Moawin Foundation invites bids from experienced production houses/solo filmmakers registered with sales tax department, for a documentary production to improve the visibility, to document organization’s journey, and highlight its achievements. The production houses/solo filmmakers fulfilling the criteria mentioned below may participate in the bidding process.

Background:

Founded in 2014, Moawin Foundation (MF) is a not-for-profit organization (NPO) registered with SECP under section 42 of the Companies Act 2017. Through education and vocational training, it aims to counter the pressing issues of violent extremism, intolerance, and economic instability to empower the underprivileged and vulnerable segments, particularly, children and the burgeoning youth population of Pakistan. MF hopes that through education and skills development, the uneducated and marginalized will not only become the bread-earners for their families but also responsible citizens of Pakistan.

Public sector schools have the highest outreach in the country including the remotest areas of Pakistan. Moawin Foundation believes that with proper support, these public sector schools can contribute to bringing improvements in the quality of education significantly in Pakistan as almost 70-80% children attend government schools. Government invests resources to establish and maintain the infrastructure for educational institutions, however, there is a lack of capacity in ensuring quality and sustainability. MF believes that this gap can be filled with proper support mechanisms in the schools.

MF is expanding its operations across Pakistan and is currently operating in 114 public and community-based schools in which more than 27,885 students are enrolled. MF is not only providing quality education to students but is also actively involved in skills development and humanitarian services such as social welfare activities.

Expertise: The team should have minimum of 3 to 5 years of work experience and a digital portfolio of film/animation/documentary, production, direction, and post-production. They should also have access to or own the highest quality equipment, i.e. camera, lights, mics, post-production equipment, etc. The team should be able to communicate and conduct interviews in English and Urdu.

Requirements:

• Detailed list of team members and technical information of the equipment intended for use, including camera, light, sound, editing software, etc.
• A detailed proposal along with a detailed breakdown of the shoot that includes travel costs, rental equipment, or hiring external sources, etc.
• A company profile or presentation of the team with expertise, resumes of each team member, and their responsibilities of engagement in the production/post-production process
• Detailed timeline of the pre and post production
• Detailed timeline of the shoot which should not exceed 10-15 days (Preferably in March)
• No additional payments will be made outside the total budget finalized in the contract
• The shortlisted team/team lead will be invited for a meeting to discuss the final ideas
