Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for monitoring and evaluation of the program implementation throughout the project.
  • Monitor the implementation of the Work Plan through collection and analysis of data.
  • Guide the documentation processes for best practices and lessons learnt based.
  • Advocate for and assist where possible, in establishing baselines, design mechanism for planning, implementation and follow-up of plans and strategies. 
  • Assist in developing performance indicators and in choosing tools for data collection, analysis and reporting.
  • Advise the Coordinator and Work Plan partners on the progress of the Work Plan and contribute to analysis as to causes behind the differences between planned and actual achievements.
  • Encourage common information collection strategies between and within sectors where appropriate and possible;
  • Provide input into the Work Plan reports;
  • Along with other units, advise the PC on constraints on implementation of the Work Plan.
  • Will have regular monitoring visits to the field according to the work plan, identify problems, constrains and monitor performance achievement, efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Will provide feedback to the field and report to the MEAL Manager.
  • Develop and support information system assessment on agreed indicators and targets for monitoring, objective criteria for the evaluation and means for obtaining the needed information in respective project areas.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in related social sciences disciples.
  • At least two (02) years of experience in same role in M&E.  
  • Previous NGO experience will be preferred.
    • Experience in effectively dealing with international and headquarters staff, as well as donor agencies, government officials, and other NGOs; the ability to work with a broad spectrum of people.

    • Demonstrated analytical, motivational, communication, project conceptualization and planning skill
    • Extremely flexible, and have the ability to cope with stressful situations and frustrations
    • Ability to relate to and motivate staff effectively
    • Excellent decision-making skills
    • Must work independently under difficult conditions
    • Strong writing and presentation skills
      • Fluency in spoken Regional Languages. Communication in National & International Language will be an edge.
