AKHS, P is looking for an experienced and dynamic Monitoring & Evaluation Analyst. The incumbent will be responsible for the design and implementation of a monitoring and evaluation framework for a new stepped care program for mental health services. 

The position can be based in Karachi or Gilgit.    

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver a monitoring and evaluation framework for mental health programming at AKHS,P
  • Work closely with the Program Coordinator for the design, development, and implementation of a mobile-based application for data collection related to mental health
  • Coordinate with stakeholders such as technical experts, health managers, and health providers to design the M&E framework
  • Develop a comprehensive work plan for the development of various aspects of the M&E component of the mental health program and ensure that products are developed in line with the agreed timelines
  • Design and implement a quality assurance mechanism for mental health programming
  • Lead the roll out of data collection tools and strategies established for the mental health program
  • Work closely with the Program Coordinator to establish and implement a data management and data analysis strategy for mental health
  • Contribute to the analysis of emerging data from the AKHS,P mental health program for operational improvement and programmatic learning
  • Contribute towards a research agenda around mental health to ensure that the learning during program implementation is closely analysed and documented
  • Work closely with the Program Coordinator and Head of Programs at AKHS,P and AKHS,P management to contribute towards the development of a strong stepped care program for mental health services and associated monitoring and evaluation framework 

Education, Experience & Competencies

  • Masters’ degree in a relevant field such as public health, health management, social sciences, etc
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in design and delivery of monitoring and evaluation for public health programs
  • Previous work experience in health-related research studies would be a plus
  • Ability to engage a variety of stakeholders to design and implement community-based programs
  • Ability to work in large, spread-out teams
  • Clear thinking
  • Self-driven and motivated
  • Excellent knowledge and ability to design monitoring and evaluation for public health programs
  • Excellent understanding of data and data management to inform evidence-based
  • Good understanding of qualitative and quantitative research
  • Data analysis skills required
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player
