Position Summary:
To provide communications support and assist the Fleming Fund Country Grant Technical Team in formulating and disseminating quality information and data on antimicrobial resistance, and consumption and use of antimicrobials in Pakistan. The responsibilities will include a range of tasks focused on creating, editing and disseminating content.
Major Responsibilities:
The consultant will be expected to engage with key stakeholders for the following tasks:
1. Assist the Fleming Fund Country Grant project’s communications team in generating new ideas and strategies to showcase project achievements. These include but are not limited to written, visual, verbal, digital, and electronic communications. Duties include content development, proofreading, copy-editing, advertisement and promotional materials, ensuring scientific accuracy, relevant to the project activities and events
2. Develop communication and advocacy packages for policymakers, other technical partners and the general public.
3. Develop and produce communication and advocacy instruments and materials, including briefing materials, press releases, case studies and videos, and coordinate its dissemination through effective channels such as stakeholder meetings or other channels (e.g. print, broadcast or social media platforms)
4. Plan and Execute dissemination events under the Fleming Fund Country Grant for policymakers, healthcare professionals and the general public.
5. Provide support in-house or by coordinating with external graphic designers, photographers and other media-production specialists integral to the completion of the project deliverable.
Requirements (Education, Experience, Skills, Languages etc.):
· Postgraduate in Mass Communications, Media Studies, Journalism or a social studies/ humanitarian subject
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Power point and Excel
· Proficiency in design software – such as Adobe, Corel or Canva
Excellent grasp of British English – writing and speaking
