Procurement Assistant | Central Office – Karachi

Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for seasoned and dynamic Procurement Assistant for its Central Office – Karachi.

The incumbent will be responsible for procurement and vendor management.

Job Description

Regular duties / Responsibilities 

  • Create requirements (MRP) for all pharmaceutical, medical and surgical, dental & radiology items timely.
  • Follow up with all vendors for timely supplies.
  • Coordinate with all pharmacies related supplies and requirement.
  • Receiving, checking, recording, organizing, and storing stock as it is received.
  • Pack, stock, organize and rearrange products in warehouse.
  • Taking inventories of stock and products, ensuring that they are safely and properly stored.
  • Dispatching and loading goods out of the warehouse for delivery.
  • counting inventory on a rotating basis to ensure accurate inventory records
  • Responsible for handling courier services/logistics and distribution arrangements
  • Coordinate with centers regarding inventory and Supplies matters.
  • Arrange supplies items for camps and programs.
  • Maintain all expiry items and intimate vendor timely.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor(s)

Periodic Duties and Responsibilities. 

  • Monthly summary report of procurement includes capital and consumable

Education, Experience & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant discipline certification
  • Minimum 2-year experience in the relevant field
  • Ability to carry out daily tasks effectively and timely and demonstrate team player’s qualities
  • Must have negotiation problem solving skills
