Terms of References (TORs) for Logistics & Financial Management Firm Support to Implement Nutrition International Advocacy Activities 

1.    INTRODUCTION

Nutrition International is seeking to recruit the services of qualified firm to provide logistics and financial management support to execute Nutrition International Pakistan Advocacy’s activities. This document defines the scope of work that the selected firm will take on in close consultation with Nutrition International. 

2.    BACKGROUND

Nutrition International transforming lives through better nutrition, working in more than 60 countries across the globe, primarily in Asia and Africa. This year marks 30 years of Nutrition International commitment in improving the nutrition of people in need, especially women, adolescent girls and children. Nutrition International has been working in Pakistan from past two decades as a strong ally of Federal and Provincial governments; prioritizing the necessary access to needed nutrients and nutrition sensitive services for the most disadvantaged, including supplementation, fortification and nutrition mainstreaming at policy and program level. Nutrition Governance is one of the priority’s areas of Nutrition International. Over the years, the organization has been engaged in advocacy for the implementation of multi-sectoral nutrition strategies and nutrition related rules/laws, demanding enhanced budgetary allocations for nutrition and recognizing food and nutrition security a fundamental right in the constitution of Pakistan. The activities outlined in the document; that will be implemented under this assignment are in continuation of Nutrition International’s past advocacy efforts in Pakistan. 

3.    OBJECTIVES

The key objective of this assignment is to hire a consultancy firm to undertake specific advocacy activities, by planning and managing support services including administrative/ logistics and financial matters. 

4.    SCOPE OF WORK

 Following tasks are to be completed by the firm with guidance from NI: 
  1. Facilitate to organize national seminar to follow up on Nutrition for Growth (N4G) commitments by government of Pakistan.
  2. Facilitate to collaborate in Annual Public Health Conference by Health Services Academy
  3. Facilitate to conduct orientation session with National Parliamentary SDGs Taskforce
  4. Facilitate NI to organize Consultative Seminar with relevant stakeholders
  5. Facilitate to conduct Orientation session with Khyber Medical University (KMU) on Maternal Anaemia
  6. Facilitate in the development of visibility /external relations material
Task 1: Facilitate Nutrition International to organize national seminar to follow up on Nutrition for Growth (N4G) commitments by government of Pakistan. 

Activities

  1. Arrange venue and other logistic arrangements
  2. Support in drafting list of participations
  3. Follow up with invitees and confirm their attendance in a timely manner
    1. Make necessary arrangements for participants’ travel, boarding & lodging of the participants where required and disburse TA/DA to the participants.
    2. Support in the development of banners, standees, stationery items and photographer
    3. Provide admin support on the day of the event
    4. Support in drafting meeting report

Deliverables

Activity reports of the consultative session along with attendance sheet Task 2: Facilitate to collaborate in Annual Public Health Conference by Health Services Academy 

Activities

  1. Coordination with Health Services Academy to finalize modalities for Nutrition International’s contribution in the Conference
    1. Draft and finalize the LOU/MOU for the collaboration and financial contribution in the nutrition related events organized by the PNDS & KP Food Authority.
    2. Provide logistics support in stall settings/ and/or organizing session(s) in the events
    3. Ensure necessary compliance and manage payments to Health Services Academy
    4. Arrange photography of the event
    5. Support in drafting meeting report

Deliverables

  1. Signed MOUs/LOUs
  2. Draft activity report with attendance sheet
 Task 3: Facilitate to conduct orientation session with National Parliamentary SDGs Taskforce 

Activities

  1. Coordinate with SDGs Taskforce Secretariat for logistics arrangements at the venue
  2. Design Invitation card of the event
  3. Follow up with invitees and confirm their attendance in a timely manner
    1. Arrange stationery, banners, and standees to be displayed at the Workshop venue, after approval from NI
    2. Lead in the development of souvenir for participants
    3. Arrange photography of the event
    4. Provide admin support on the day of the event
    5. Activity attendance sheet

Deliverables

 Task 4: Facilitate NI to organize Consultative Seminar with relevant stakeholders 
  1. Arrange venue and other logistic arrangements for the meetings
  2. Support in drafting list of participations
  3. Support in the development of banners, standees, stationery items
  4. Arrange photography of the event
  5. Provide admin support on the day of the event
  6. Draft meeting report

Deliverables

  1. Activity report of the seminar
  2. Attendance sheets of the event
  Task 5: Facilitate to conduct Orientation session with Khyber Medical University (KMU) on Maternal Anaemia 
  1. Coordinate with KMU management for required logistics arrangement at the venue
  2. Facilitate in designing of invitation card of the event
  3. Support in the development of banners, standees, stationery items
  4. Arrange photography of the event
  5. Provide admin support on the day of the event
  6. Draft meeting report

Deliverables

  1. Activity report of the seminar
  2. Attendance sheets of the event

5.    Required Qualifications of the agencies:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in management, administration and financial
  • Prior working experience in program planning and execution, Monitoring and evaluation and implementation and thorough understanding of SUN movement overall
  • Excellent communication skills; written and oral
  • Ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • Experience in effective liaison experience with external organizations
  • Proposed Team members having experience in implementing public health projects
