The baseline assessment will measure the existing government capacity under the Board of Revenue (Directorate of Land Records and KP Government project’s Land Settlement Unit of “Settlement and Land Record/Digitization of Land Records (for 7 districts)/Creation of Record of Property Rights”) and each LRMA activity tehsil for preparation, creation and management of land records (land settlement/registration), public perception towards land settlement, establishment and access to a formal land records management system, focusing on key aspects of the LRMA activity (for detail please see attachement B of the RFP)

LRMA is a 4-year project, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The objective of the Land Registration in Merged Areas activity is to establish a Transparent and Credible Land Record and Registration System in the seven districts of the Merged Areas through a multi-year technical assistance and capacity development support in order to promote a transparent legal system that allows for the registration, transfer, and utilization of land titles. The activity will focus on introducing land registration in the Merged Areas through supporting GoKP efforts to further the objectives of the 25th Amendment and will complement GoKP efforts under its Settlement and Land Record activity.
