Job Description-Procurement & Logistic Officer

(Project Title: Improving Equitable Access and Quality of Education for Afghan Refugees and Vulnerable Host Communities in Pakistan)

Location: Mansehra, Kohat and Bannu.

Core Job Responsibilities/Specifications: The Procurement & Logistic Officer’s responsibilities/specifications include but are not limited to the following:

  • Set up and contribute to procurement strategy on projects.
  • Execute tender processes to maximize competitiveness and efficiencies.
  • Ensure orders and subcontracts are requisitioned, approved and placed with our suppliers, in order to deliver services on our projects which provide the best value, minimize risk and exposure with the appropriate terms and conditions as well as manage the supply chain process.
  • To maintain all records of goods/equipment, stock registers and ensures availability of logbooks in all vehicles.
  • Responsible to collect quotations from different suppliers/manufacturers for the purchase of required goods/equipment.
  • Responsible for timely reporting of quotations to the financial committee, and purchase goods/equipment’s that are verified and selected by the financial committee.
  • Achieve agreed objectives for the organization, department, and project.
  • Make possible timely delivery of goods/equipment’s to concern regions/field offices as per purchased request.
  • Potential candidate must be able to provide evidence of a strong track record of delivering for money through substantial procurement projects.
  • Have clear understandings of procurement regulations, NGOs experience would be beneficial.
  • To undertake other duties as requested by the Line Manager.

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Must be Masters/BS in Supply Chain Management, Social Science, and Management Sciences.
  • 3 years of proven related experience.

Note: Positions will be filled on rolling basis.
