Job Purpose

Pathfinder International is being supported by the UNFPA under the Sihatmand Khandan Project, supported by Global Affairs Canada (GAC), an intervention focused on improving response mechanisms to Gender Based Violence in Sindh. Providing technical and coordination support with govt and other stakeholders and b) Strengthening GBV referral mechanism capacity building, helplines, psychosocial support for women and girls in partnership with Women Development Dept.

Job Summary: Compassionate and experienced preferably female Psychotherapist who is multiculturally versed to deliver the treatment of Women Survivors of Violence, in this position, she will be expected to help survivors with their rational, emotional, behavioral struggles and generate treatment protocols and techniques. She will also be expected to schedule sessions with Complainant and keep sure all complainant feel comfortable and that they are in a safe environment.

Psychotherapist Duties & Responsibilities:

Psychotherapist should demonstrate excellent communication skills and be committed and passionate about helping Women survivors of Gender based Violence and has a receipt of supervised training and has great empathy skills.

Psychotherapist Requirements:

  • Helping Women Survivors with their rational, emotional, behavioral struggles.
    • Excellent Counselling Skills in Gender related problems specially to deal with women survivors of Gender Based violence.
  • Reporting to relevant authorities.
  • Generating treatment protocols and techniques.
    • Keep updated the record and maintain the record of counselling sessions regularly
  • Encouraging openness and honesty.
  • Providing guidance and compassion during sessions with women survivors.
    • Keeping all an empathetic and compassionate approach to therapy and dealing Complainant Confidentially.
    • Addressing casual factors that are implicated in concerns that are identified
  • Scheduling sessions with Women survivors regularly.
    • Make sure all complainant feels comfortable and that they are in a safe environment
    • Great knowledge of prevailing evidence-based protocols.
  • Able to navigate uncertainty, denial, and projection
    • Excellent time management skills

 

Minimum Education and Work Experience:

  • Master’s in psychology from Recognized University.
  • 03 Years’ experience with handling of Psycho/Social problems related to Women Complainant and also working experience in any Psychological Clinic.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Applicant must have excellent Counselling Skills in Gender related problems specially to deal with women survivors of Gender Based violence.
  • Must have experience to write Analyzing Reports and recommendations regarding Women/ Gender related issues.
