The objective of the Consultancy:
The incumbent will review the user manuals with oxygen concentrators and develop easy-to-understand user manuals for the staff at hospitals in Urdu preferably.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for the following activities:
- Assemble and test the functionality of USAID donated oxygen concentrators at a medical facility
- Review the user manuals and related documents developed by the manufacturer to ensure the standard use of the oxygen concentrators
- Develop a comprehensive user manual in Urdu for the hospital biomedical/service delivery staff
Deliverable(s):
- Assembling and functionality test of oxygen concentrator at a hospital in Islamabad
- Development of a user manual for oxygen concentrators in URDU
- Completion report
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the required knowledge, skills, and/or abilities needed to perform the principal duties:
- Post-graduation/Master in biomedical engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience
- Knowledge and experience in the medical oxygen ecosystem
- Familiarity with international best practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Period of Performance and LOE
The expected duration of the assignment is two (1) months with a total LOE (Level of Effort) of 20 days
