Purpose:
The Warehouse Supervisor ensures that general warehousing activities are properly carried out for a specific product family (e.g. economic security, water and habitat, medical or communication) in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs). S/he organizes and plans the warehouse’s activities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensures that goods are received, stored and dispatched according to procedure.
- Ensures that stock is rotated and picked according to the principles of first-in-first-out and/or first-expired-first-out.
- Ensures that goods are properly segregated within the warehouse.
- Ensures that warehouse regulations are applied.
- Ensures that there is proper pest control and hygiene in the warehouse.
- Ensures that bin cards and stock cards are kept up to date.
- Provides statistics and other reporting.
- Organizes inventory counts and initiates claim reports.
- Maintains the region's quality-control documentation database of standard operating procedures (SOPs), instructions and records.
- Checks quality-control findings and advises on risk management for nonconforming products.
- Ensures that the quality-control equipment inventory level meets the region's needs.
- Checks inspection reports from the region (reference-samples testing, internal quality control and lab reports) before they are released.
- Gives feedback and suggests improvements to the Buyers and quality team regarding quality-control findings analysis, product acceptance, nonconforming products management and specification improvements.
- Ensures that the JD Edwards quality control module is properly used.
- May be called upon to measure, examine, test or gauge items to ensure that the minimum quality requirements are met.
Main Requirements:
- Technical Degree.
- 04 years work experience in a similar field.
- Computer literacy.
- Good command (spoken and written) in English.
