Job Description:

  1. Ensure the proper charging of expenditures to relevant program/expenses head
  2. Checking, verifying, and posting the JVs of Regular programs and partnership activities
  3. Reviewing the trial balance and general ledger time to time
  4. Analysis of trial balance to ensure complete accounting of all transactions and budgetary controls.
  5. Checking and posting payment vouchers and resolving discrepancies
  6. Authorizing all petty cash payments
  7. Aging and reconciling the account payable
  8. Authorizing all receipt vouchers
  9. Preparing the fixed assets schedule and calculation of the depreciation at the end of the year
  10. Maintaining the memorandum record of the inventory and stock
  11. Preparing monthly and quarterly financial review
  12. Coordination with the auditors and help to conduct the external and internal audit along with getting the external audit report signed by the trustees
  13. Any other reports required by head of finance and ops time to time
  14. Ensuring timely reconciling all bank accounts with the ledger
  15. Signing pay roll reconciliation statement and timely payment of EOBI for organization’s employees
  16. Work with Financial Management Information System, recommend and improvement in the system, ensure the timely input of the data, ensure that the IT is taking daily back up of financial data and ensure the maintenance of manual records of financial data
  17. Extending support to program staff for preparing budgets

Requirements:

  • At least 04 years relevant work experience.
  • Master’s Degree in finance or ACCA/CA (Partly Qualified)
  • Desirable knowledge of donor funded projects and grants handling.
  • In depth knowledge/experience of accounting cycle.
  • Ability to meet targets within tight deadlines
  • Result-oriented team player
  • Sound judgment, flexibility, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite required.
  • A good team-player who can promote the spirit of joined of working at all levels.
  • Ability to represent HK in a confident, courteous, and coherent manner.
  • Display cultural, gender, religious, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability.
