Business Development and Social Sectors Officer

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Project Management, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline preferred
1-2 years of experience in the social development sector
Excellent interpersonal and communications (oral and written) skills
Proficiency in MS Office
Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines
Identifying new business opportunities for the organization and ensuring that new opportunities are taken up in time. Surfing websites of major donors and others on a daily basis.
Provide support in preparation of Expression of interest (EOI) and Technical/Financial Proposals for a varied range of multi-sectoral projects in the public as well as the private sector.
Assist in identifying and assembling proposed project teams drawn from inside and outside the organisation.
Assist in finalizing, write ups, editing, formatting of EOIs and technical proposals.
Assist in updating/maintaining a database of key professionals and consultants who are regularly required on various projects ensuring its reliability as to the relevance and availability of resource persons.
Assist in the development of effective marketing material for the company including brochures, flyers, company website and other publicity material.
Project Implementation and Back-stopping:
Assist the Social Sectors team in the implementation and quality assurance of various projects.
Conduct site visits, data collection and analysis where required.
Assist in finalizing, write ups, editing, formatting reports and other documents as required.
Any other task assigned by Social Sectors supervisor.
