Relevant Experience:

  • Master in psychology, gender, law, public health, social sciences, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working on GBV with demonstrable experience working to strengthen case management, including the development of referrals mechanisms. Training on case management is added advantage.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of survivor-cantered approach, GBV principles and trauma-informed approaches to in GBV service delivery.

Job Description:

  • Ensure adherence to GBV guiding principles and the provision of survivor-centered care (respect wishes, decisions of survivors) and follow GBV guiding principles of respect, confidentiality, and safety/security and non-discrimination while providing services.
  • Supervision and coaching for GBV service providers including Psychologists, and PFA workers engaged with the survivors of GBV and those at risk beneficiaries at the women & girls safe spaces (WGFS) to ensure that services are in line with survivor cantered approach and case management guidelines.
  • Support in data analysis to analyse GBV cases and response services.
  • Ensure proper documentation of cases, while ensuring confidentiality, and follow-up processes.
  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders develop and strengthen referral networks and monitor the implementation of the referral pathway to improve survivors’ access to confidential, safe GBV services in a timely manner to meet their needs.
  • Ensure all documentations on reported cases and referrals are updated, accurate, organized and well maintained.
  • Conduct regular meetings with team members and community members to assess progress toward GBV program objectives.
  • Assist with provision and facilitation of GBV trainings for all relevant community actors, including; psychologists, PFA workers, Community Health Workers (CBPGs), and any other identified groups on GBV topics, including but not limited to: GBV basic concepts & referral pathways, guiding principles, sexual harassment and exploitation and abuse.

Preffered Skills:

  • Certificate in Psychosocial counselling, or other related field, desirable
  • Comfortable with computers, able to use Word and Excel
  • Clear understanding of gender, human rights, and issues surrounding violence against women and girls
  • Excellent listening and observation skills, including ability to create trust, support, respect and interact with survivors of all ages, background and diversity.
  • Experience in community outreach, sensitization or mobilization
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for clients always is essential.
  • Ability to lead, train, supervise, facilitate and motivate other GBV services providers in their respective tasks in a professional, respectful and supportive manner.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Clear understanding of and interest in the wellbeing of women and girls, and supporting their healing after the experience of violence
  • Demonstrated understanding of and ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for clients
  • Fluency in English, Urdu, and local language (Pashto).
