The Project Manager will be the primary leader responsible for the overall success of the projects. This role involves strategic oversight, team management, stakeholder coordination, and ensuring the organizational projects achieves its goals effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Oversight:

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for the projects, aligning it with the broader goals of the Parliamentarians Commission for Human Rights.
  • Oversee all project activities to ensure they contribute effectively to the project's objectives.
  • Make high-level decisions regarding project direction and policy.

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead and motivate the project team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Evaluate team performance and provide feedback and coaching.

Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government entities, NGOs, community leaders, and donors.
  • Represent the project in external meetings and forums, advocating for the project's goals and needs.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project activities are supported and align with broader initiatives.
  • Ensure the development and delivery of high-quality training modules for police personnel and legal professionals if any in projects.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and adjust strategies as needed.

Inter-Agency Coordination and Facilitation:

  • Facilitate dialogues and collaborations between various agencies and organizations involved in addressing violence against women.
  • Work towards enhancing inter-agency coordination to improve the overall response to violence against women.

Financial and Resource Management:

  • Oversee the project budget, ensuring funds are allocated efficiently and transparently.
  • Approve major expenditures and ensure financial compliance.

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Quality Assurance:

  • Implement robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to track project progress and impact.
  • Ensure the project adheres to high standards of quality and effectiveness.

Qualifications Required:

  • Advanced degree in Social sciences,Project Management, Law, Gender Studies, or related fields.
  • Extensive experience in project management, preferably in human rights or legal sectors.
  • Experience of working with various government organisation will be an added value.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of gender issues and human rights.

Required Competencies and Skills:

Leadership, strategic planning, project management, stakeholder engagement, communication, financial management.

Experience:

Minimum 8 years of experience in similar roles, particularly in managing large-scale projects in the human rights or legal sectors.a

Duty Station: Islamabad
