 Job Summary:

To oversee the installation, maintenance, and security of the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations and data integrity. Provide technical support, implement cybersecurity measures, and evaluate new technologies to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks.

Expert level experience with the development and maintenance of professional databases of MEL/other systems using Microsoft 365, with major work in SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, Business AI, and/or any other suitable technology solutions.

Main Responsibilities:  

  1. Managing IT Infrastructure: This involves overseeing the HumAhang's computer systems, networks, and hardware. It includes setting up and maintaining servers, workstations, wireless LAN access points; RFID/Biometric devices; management tools and other date network-related devices, switches, and other IT equipment.
  2. Database Management: Creating, maintaining, and optimizing databases to store and manage the HumAhang's data efficiently. This may include selecting appropriate database systems, designing database schemas, and ensuring data integrity and security.
  3. Software Management: Installing, configuring, and updating software applications used by the HumAhang. This may include office productivity software, email clients, accounting software, and specialized applications used for the NGO's activities.
  4. IT Security: Implementing and managing security measures to protect the HumAhang's IT infrastructure and data from unauthorized access, malware, and other cyber threats. This involves setting up firewalls, antivirus software, access controls, and encryption protocols. This also involve Installing, configuring, and updating software applications used by the HumAhang.
  5. Backup and Disaster Recovery: Developing and implementing backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure that critical data can be restored in the event of hardware failure, data corruption, or other emergencies.
  6. User Support and Training: Providing technical support to staff members who encounter IT issues or need assistance with software applications. This may involve troubleshooting problems, answering questions, and providing training on IT systems and procedures.
  7. IT Policies and Procedures: Developing and enforcing IT policies and procedures to ensure the responsible and secure use of IT resources within the HumAhang. This may include policies related to data privacy, acceptable use of technology, and IT procuremen.
  8. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to understand their IT needs and requirements, and to implement technology solutions that support the HumAhang's goals and objectives.

Database System Development and Maintenance:

  • Provision of assistance in designing and implementation of the database structure and data schema based on MEL Indicators / others reporting indicators and reporting requirements from data entry forms/ sheets, dashboards, and reports within SharePoint, Power Apps, BI and/or suitable technology solutions to facilitate real-time data collection, analysis, reporting, and visualization.
  • Ensure the security, integrity, conciseness, and confidentiality of project data by implementing appropriate access controls and data protection measures within the MEL/other system.
  • To update MIS with smart data validation checks to ensure data accuracy and compatible data export options
  • To reduce/shrink size of database; identification of un-attached data and removal of incorrect data
  • Provide training and capacity-building sessions for CPDI staff on operating the MEL/other system effectively, including data entry, data analysis, and report generation.
  • Provide comprehensive database structure diagram, flow, source code/ lists, libraries, and views configured for MEL/other data management.
  • Provision of ongoing technical support and maintenance, comprehensive knowledge of databases post-implementations for error and bug-free smooth and robust implementation and usage of MEL/other databases.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 05 years of experience or Bachelor’s degree in the same field with 8-10 years of experience.
  • Candidates should have hands-on experience (4-5 year’s experience) of developing production-grade data driven applications, preferably M&E systems in Microsoft 365, Sharepoint, power apps, power BI and latest automate technologies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization techniques, with experience in designing interactive dashboards and reports for monitoring project performance. Proven experience in IT support, network administration, and system administration roles
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (e.g., Windows, Mac), and networking concepts
  • Familiarity with server administration, virtualization technologies, and cloud computing platforms
  • Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems
  • Proficiency in the IT tools/software 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Previous experience of working on USAID-funded programs and international development organizations will be preferred.
