National Poverty Graduation Programme (NPGP) is a 7 and half years programme co-funded by IFAD and the Government of Pakistan for a total project budget of $150 million. It is implemented in 23 districts including 363 union councils of the country. The programme is designed to catalyze change at the grassroots to pull people out of poverty through social mobilization, livelihoods development and financial inclusion'.

To convey the project’s mission and achievements to a wider audience, fostering awareness and understanding, through various digital channels, the NPGP intends to hire an individual consultant (Videographer/Photographer) to support the NPGP’s Communications Strategy by providing high quality videography/ photography under the supervision of the Communications Manager. The video/photography will highlight NPGP’s work on poverty graduation, women’s empowerment, climate change and risk mitigation, awareness campaigns and other policy areas.

 1.       Objectives of Assignment:

  • Develop a compelling visual narrative that effectively communicates the goals, impact, and success stories of the NPGP project, catering to diverse stakeholders and the public.
  • Produce media-ready visuals to facilitate increased media coverage, effectively communicating the importance and success of the NPGP project to a wider audience.
  • Develop visual materials suitable for educational purposes, workshops, and presentations, enabling the effective communication of the NPGP project's objectives and results.
  • Maintain visual consistency with NPGP's branding guidelines, ensuring that all visuals align with the organization's identity and messaging strategy.
  • Implement participatory approaches to involve project beneficiaries in the documentation process, allowing them to contribute to the visual representation of their experiences and perspectives.

 2.  Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Communications Manager and Programme Director, the consultant   will be responsible for the following:

  • Ensure highest broadcast quality of videography: minimum HD 1920 x 1080 or better, must be pro in video editing.
  • High resolution photographs of beneficiaries from field areas. Each photo should have its metadata with detailed captions (full names; locations; and a brief description of the project activity.), copyrights, and other relevant information.
  • Ensure that all requests and instructions from NPGP pertain to photography and videography/video editing.
  • High-quality (HD 1920x1080) videos with closed caption subtitles in English, voiceovers, and data graphics
  • Ensure that all required photography and videography/ video editing jobs are completed by the deadline.
  • Ensure that correct video formats are used as requested by NPGP.
  • Ensure that videos produced for use on social media follow the specifications required by the NPGP.
  • Work with the highest professional ethical standards and in keeping with NPGP’s core messages.
  • Training P.O staff in videography/video editing and photography.

 3.       Deliverables

The consultant is expected to work on various aspects of photography and video production for programme’s policy areas. Deliverables include the  following:

  • Photography / videography of beneficiaries, raw and edited videos/photographs of NPGP beneficiaries’ interviews (success stories of all programme policy areas.)
  • Minimum 3 HD videos (2 success stories, 1 case study) from each partner organization at the end of each month. After reviewing the shared content and approval from Communications and Media section; consultant will work on final editing of selected videos, each finalized video should be of minimum 2mins with English and Urdu subtitles, identified location, name and age of beneficiaries, quotes and any relevant details , NPPG’s  branding and crediting of NPGP’s ownership for the produced videos and photographs, animations to be incorporated where required .
  • The videos should also include differently abled beneficiaries.
  • For photographs the consultant will provide a minimum of 2000 pictures per p.o /month with variety of pictures showcasing programme impact, interventions, beneficiaries, assets and beneficiary families.
  • Short video for Eid ul Adha
  • Short video for 14th August
  • Training of Partner Organizations’ staff in videography/ photography/ video editing.

 a)       Consultant must send a financial proposal based on the lump sum amount for photography /video (pre and post) production as per TOR requirement. The total amount quoted shall be all-inclusive and include all costs components required including professional fees and any other applicable cost to be incurred by the Individual Consultant in delivering the TOR requirement. The contract price will be a fixed output-based price regardless of extension of the herein specified duration. Payments will be made upon completion of the deliverables/ outputs for photography and video production.

b)      Curriculum Vitae, Indicating all experience from similar projects, as well as the contact details (email  

and telephone) of the Candidate and at least three (3) professional references.

c)       List of owned high-quality equipment that the applicant will use.

d)      list with links of Experience of producing video interviews (demo reels), photography portfolio

e)      Please provide portfolio and demo reels.
