Project Summary: The purpose of the programme is to support the government’s efforts in increasing access and improving the WASH, capacity and financial strength to deliver UNOPS WASH Components satisfactorily in the given scope and detail in Tank .The main goal of this task is to assist the donors team in executing community engagement activities and conducting to enhance efforts aimed at reducing waterborne diseases through behavior modification in the Tank district of KP

Job Description:

As Project Manager will be

  1. Responsible for overall management of the project (Program Implementation, Operation, and administration of field office).
  2. Responsible for budget, financial management & control of the grant adherence to the organization and donor financial policy.
  3. Responsible for efficiency with effectiveness through guiding area-based staff on field implementation.
  4. Serving as focal person for the organization as well as the donor.
  5. Responsible for stakeholders liaising & coordination with Donor, line departments, and district administration to effectively engage them in project interventions
  6. Responsible for actively involving communities in project assessment, planning, execution and monitoring.
  7. Responsible for extensive community mobilization campaign for sensitizing communities.
  8. Responsible for developing detailed implementation plans, execution of work plans and revises as appropriate to meet the goals and objectives of the project.
  9. Responsible for monitoring of project indicators and revises strategies accordingly.
  10. Responsible for communication & reporting to Director Programs on project progress and challenges.
  11. Responsible for to reviews all deliverables prepared by teams before passing to donor agency and Director Programs.
  12. Make ensure that project legal documents are completed and signed from concerned quarter.  
  13. Responsible for project progress/challenges sharing with donor and head office.
  14. Responsible for timely addressing & resolving conflict among team members and as well inter & intracommunity conflict through mediation.
  15. Responsible for capacity building of field team through on job support and training session and career development goals.
  16. Ensure capacity building of project stakeholders on project contents. 
  17. Responsible for developing weekly, monthly and operational & travel plan of project staff.
  18. Any other task assigned by Director Programs & Executive Director.

Work Experience:

Minimum three years of management and implementation experience in integrated/livelihoods projects 

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

  • Personal qualities: Works well in and promotes teamwork, comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible, and able to handle pressure well.
  • Ideally experience in the field of poverty graduation programming.
  • Proven abilities in managing teams, monitoring staff performance, and providing technical support and coaching to field teams.
  • Demonstrate analytical, project conceptual and planning skills.
  • Profound cultural awareness and sound knowledge of livelihoods and cash based projects.
  • Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team, to pursue and achieve outcomes.
  • Previous experience in managing livelihoods and cash based projects.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong project management, planning, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Local merit based will be prefered

Language Skills:

Must be fluent in Urdu, Pushto & English languages.

Preference will be given to local candidates.
