About the role

The position will bridge gaps, foster collaboration, and effective coordination, and strengthen the impact of PMS by strategically connecting with external stakeholders and nurturing partnerships. Specifically, the position will be responsible for the execution of the agreed work plan of Pakistan Localisation Lab by ensuring quality standards, timely reporting as well as budget management.

Your impactful goals will include

  • Building and Nurturing Relationships: Identification of potential networks and partners, engage in collaborative discussions and establish connections for mutual interest. Actively cultivate relationships with external stakeholders, including networks, alliances and coalitions
  • Strategic Networking: Strategically map out networks & alliances and identify key players in non-profit and corporate sector. Participate in conferences, workshops and related events to expand the reach and influence of PMS & Pakistan Localisation Lab
  • Partnership Development: Assess the needs of PMS, NEAR and Pakistan Localisation Lab and areas where partnerships can enhance impact. Negotiating terms, drafting agreements and ensuring alignment with the overall goals
  • Resource Mobilisation: Play the pivotal role in resource mobilisation through tapping the network resources, in-kind support and volunteer engagement. Leveraging partnerships to enhance the capacity to deliver the services and to achieve the overall gaols of PMS, NEAR and Pakistan Localisation Lab
  • Policy Influencing: Review the existing policies, stakeholders’ engagement for policy influencing and system change(s). Collaborate with other platforms and organisations to amplify the collective voice and action for systematic improvements. Engage and participate in networks, alliances and coalitions to influence the decision makers and promote the agenda of localisation and locally led development
  • Project Planning & Management: Collaborating with stakeholders to coordinate and implement project goals, timelines, and budgets, and creating detailed project plans for Pakistan Localisation Lab
  • Project Coordination: Liaising with member organisations and effective coordination with Co-convenors for smooth functioning of the project plan(s), monitoring project progress, and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Project reporting: Creating reports to communicate project status, progress, and risks to stakeholders, and providing recommendations for project improvements.
  • Resource management: Ensuring that project teams have the necessary resources to complete their tasks, such as equipment, funding, and personnel.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, such as project sponsors, partners, and customers, to ensure that their needs and expectations are met.
  • Risk management: Identifying potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines, budgets, or quality, and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Quality control: Ensuring that project deliverables meet the required quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget.

What we are looking for:

Education & Knowledge  

  • Master’s Degree in Project Management, Development Sciences, Social Sciences or relevant field.

Work Experience

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in NGOs/INGOs.

  • Project Management Skills: Thorough understanding of management principles, methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Communication Skills:    The ability to communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
  • Leadership Skills: Able to lead and motivate team members to achieve project goals.
