Title: Trainer for conduction of Two-Day Training on Fruit Picking, Grading, and Packaging

Objective: The objective of this training is to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge in fruit picking, grading, and packaging to enhance productivity, quality, and marketability of fruits.

Duration: Two days

Location: Gunar Farm Chilas, Diamer

Audience: The training is intended for Home Based Workers/ farmers, agricultural workers, who are involved in fruit cultivation and marketing.

Key Deliverables:

  1. Develop and deliver comprehensive training sessions covering fruit picking techniques, grading standards, and packaging methods.
  2. Provide practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises to reinforce learning.
  3. Create training materials such as presentations, handouts, and reference documents.
  4. Assess participants' understanding through quizzes, practical exercises, and group discussions.
  5. Offer guidance and support to participants in implementing the learned techniques in their respective fields.

Scope of Work:

  1. Design a detailed training agenda outlining the topics to be covered each day.
  2. Prepare engaging presentations and training materials that are informative and visually appealing.
  3. Incorporate interactive elements into the training sessions to encourage active participation and knowledge retention.
  4. Organize practical demonstrations and exercises to allow participants to apply theoretical concepts in real-world scenarios.
  5. Address questions, concerns, and queries from participants throughout the training sessions.
  6. Assess participants' progress and understanding periodically and adjust the training approach as needed.
  7. Provide constructive feedback and guidance to participants to enhance their skills and confidence.
  8. Facilitate group discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions among participants to encourage peer learning.
  9. Ensure a conducive learning environment that promotes collaboration, respect, and inclusivity.
  10. Collaborate with organizers and stakeholders to ensure the smooth implementation of the training program.

Qualifications:

  1. Candidate must have at least B.sc (Hons) Agriculture, Post-harvest Technology, Food & Agriculture with  an  Extensive experience in fruit cultivation, harvesting, grading, and packaging.
  2. Proven track record in conducting training sessions or workshops related to agriculture, preferably in fruit production and post-harvest management.
  3. In-depth knowledge of best practices, industry standards, and emerging trends in fruit picking, grading, and packaging.
  4. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
  6. Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate participants' varying levels of experience and learning styles.
  7. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with stakeholders and organizers.

Evaluation: The effectiveness of the training will be evaluated based on participants' feedback, their application of learned techniques in practice, and any observable improvements in productivity, quality, or marketability of fruits following the training.
