Job Description

As the MEAL Officer for the Education Resilience Activity (ERA) program, you will be instrumental in ensuring the effectiveness and impact of project interventions aimed at enhancing the resilience and inclusiveness of education systems in DIK, Swat, and Mohmand a, with a specific emphasis on marginalized populations, especially girls and children with disabilities.

• Develop and implement robust M&E frameworks and systems to track the progress and impact of project activities against set indicators and targets.
• Regularly collect and analyze data related to educational access, quality, and resilience, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and timeliness.
• Conduct field visits and assessments to verify data quality and gather qualitative insights into the effectiveness of project interventions.
• Prepare comprehensive M&E reports and contribute to donor reporting requirements, highlighting achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
• Establish mechanisms for collecting feedback from project beneficiaries, ensuring their voices are heard and incorporated into project decision-making processes.
• Facilitate participatory feedback sessions with communities, particularly marginalized groups, to foster transparency, responsiveness, and accountability within project implementation.
• Monitor compliance with project guidelines, standards, and ethical principles, promoting a culture of integrity and accountability among project staff and partners.
• Facilitate regular reflection sessions with project staff and stakeholders to capture and document key learnings, best practices, and areas for improvement.
• Coordinate the dissemination of learning products and case studies internally and externally, contributing to organizational knowledge management efforts.
• Work closely with the Programme Manager and other project staff to integrate M&E findings and recommendations into project planning and decision-making processes.

 Qualifications and Skills:

• Master's degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, International Development, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning, preferably within the education sector or related development programmes.
• Strong understanding of M&E principles, methodologies, and tools, with experience in designing and implementing M&E frameworks and systems.
• Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and facilitate participatory processes.
• Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English and Urdu; knowledge of Pashto would be an advantage.
• Experience working in challenging or conflict-affected environments and willingness to travel frequently to project sites within DIK, Swat, and Nowshera.
