Job description

Organizational Context and Scope:

Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and direct supervision of the Senior Programme Coordinator in IOM Pakistan and the Project Manager, the Data Processing Assistant position requires to be stationed in the field, with frequent travels to the districts and target communities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Baluchistan provinces, and will be responsible for deliverables as per the following sections.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Core Functions / General Responsibilities:

  • Enter information/data from the medical forms/files into the database, in coordination with the field team leads and the medical team.
  • Print out medical documents and data collection tools as requested by the mobile medical team
  • Collect weekly and monthly statistical information in IOM format and submit it to the National Program Officer (Health)..
  • Support the team  and  the field team leads in  setting up weekly, monthly and quarterly CMEs, workplans with clear objectives and delivery timeline.
  • Assisting in collecting, consolidating and analyzing data and indicators to facilitate the preparation of interim and final reports.
  • Ensure all data quality checks and data confidentiality SOPs are in place  and ensured as per IOM data protection rules.
  • Keep accurate and pertinent records of all correspondence, project development and reporting files , medical  files and administration information.
  • Support team leads with any other administrative tasks
  • Support national program officers  with  data management for health assessments/Surveys.

  • Perform other duties assigned by superiors.

Education and Experience :

  • Graduate (preferably with in Diploma /Degree in computer science.)
  • Two years of relevant experience- Proven experience in data management, analysis and reporting in a humanitarian or development context- health data management an added advantage
  • Computer literacy: expert-level user or higher.
  • Typing skills: speed 200 symbols/min and higher.
  • Working two year’s experience clerking/administration is desirable in emergency/field work setting.
  • Good oral communication skills and Friendliness, patience.
  • Ability to systematize documentation and keep it in order.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and to write clearly and accurately
  • Compliance with all IOM Data SOPs and privacy principles.
Languages :

Required:

Good working knowledge in English is required (oral and written)

Desirable :

Working knowledge of Pashtu, Dari or any other local language/s.
