Job Description:

Organizational Context and Scope:

Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and direct supervision of the Senior Programme Coordinator in IOM Pakistan and the Project Manager, the Data Processing Assistant position requires to be stationed in the field, with frequent travels to the districts and target communities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Baluchistan provinces, and will be responsible for deliverables as per the following sections:.  

Responsibilities and Accountabilities :

  • Coordinate work flow in Medical Triage/ Vitals observation/Queue management/Crowd control, pharmacy and dispensing and laboratory ensuring smooth running of daily activities.
  • Maintaining the Nurse Rota for leave and TDYs as well as hold regular meetings with nurses.
  • Assisting in coordinating nursing activities in the specific unit as assigned.
  • Assisting in coordinating specific daily duties to staff under his/her supervision in the unit.
  • Assisting in ensuring smooth running of daily activities of the specific unit.
  • Organizing and participating in preparatory work for Clinical OPD, which include: preparation of medical record, preparation of Migration Health Officer rooms, vital signs measurements, collecting medical history, hearing and visual acuity etc.
  • Keep track of the consumables and assist the Migration Health Physician (MHP)in timely generation of stocks.
  • Maintenance and confidentiality of information, collaborative relationship with clients, partners and health professionals.
  • Ensure distribution of files to MHP’s as per the list and daily allocation caseload per doctor and assisting MHP’s during physical examination by following prescriptions and recommendations given by the doctors.
  • Work with the team to ensure that all daily beneficiary information is captured in the clinic OPD records and ready for daily/weekly reporting ands support the team  and  the field team leads in  setting up weekly, monthly and quarterly CMEs, workplans with clear objectives and delivery timeline
  • Ensure strict compliance of established SOP’s in the assigned nursing units
  • Safe keep, organize and monitor medical equipment and drugs as well as replenishment in a timely manner. Maintain an inventory of medical equipment in the departments
  • Perform other duties assigned by superiors.
Education and Experience :
  • Diploma or Degree in Nursing with three years of experience
  • Pakistan Nursing Council Registration
  • Supervisory training and/or experience is a distinct advantage
Languages:

Required:
  • Good working knowledge in English is required (oral and written)

Desirable :
  • Working knowledge of Pashtu, Dari or any other local language/s.
