Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for a seasoned and Dynamic Program Assistant for Central Office, Islamabad.

S/he will provide programmatic and administrative support to Community Health & Donor Funded Programs

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support in the Planning and implementation of the projects including new program developments.
  • Maintain and update records or programmatic activities for the program compliance.
  • Document minutes of the meeting and assist in drafting programmatic reports, program briefs and success stories.
  • Coordinate program activities within the program team and with the regions and take follow-ups.
  • Provide programming and administrative support to the projects, scheduling meetings arrange meetings with stakeholders.
  • Develops and maintains an efficient filing system for the program team,
  • Maintains a tracking system of the program activities.
  • Assist in projects such as special events, meetings, newsletters,
  • Arrange all program appointments and maintain programs/ projects background information, Calendar log, route correspondence and follow-up actions and deadlines.
  • Organizes regular team meetings and conference calls/videoconferences, often over different time zones, including the preparation and distribution of documents and providing the necessary technical devices.

Qualifications and experience requirements

  • A university degree in Business Administration, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, or related field.
  • At least 3 years’ experience of project / program and admirative support.
  • Ability to research and turn information into useful knowledge, relevant for context, or responsive to a stated need, ideally experience in report writing, concept notes, minutes briefs, and presentations.
  • Experience in the use of computers, office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc).
  • Excellent knowledge of English and other local languages
  • Willingness to travel to program focused geographic areas.
