Relevant Experience:

For the post of Nutriton Officer a graduate or post-graduate degree in Nutrition Sciences from a recognized university or professional trainings in nutrition related capacity building and management and at least 3 years relevant experience is considered necessary. 

Job Description:

  1. The nutrition officer will conduct the nutrition assessment (focusing on identifying key nutrition issues and causes) and develop a capacity-building plan (including session plan) for target families.
  2. The nutrition officer will also design and conduct Training of of Village Management Committees to help them in making follow-up of the capacity building sessions on nutrition for the target families.
  3. She will ensure timely delivery and quality of capacity building sessions on nutrition. She will conduct random annual surveys (including KAP and anthropometric) to track change related to capacity building on nutrition.
  4. She will also facilitate linkages of target community organizations with other agencies working on nutrition sector in district Umerkot so that severe and acute malnourished women and children can receive support in terms of nutritional supplements and therapeutic feeding. 
  5. Any other relevant task assigned by the Project Manager/Associate Director
  6. Facilitate mainstreaming of Quality & Accountability on community level maintaining record of project activities and Q & A.
  7. Ensure adherence to policies and procedure/systems of the organization;
  8. Work with cooperative attitude and keep a high standard of work quality

 Consultation and Coordination:

  1. Close coordination, communication and meeting with village committees and local government.

Records and Reporting:

       1.      Maintains records of all project documents including assessments, sessions reports, training attendance sheet and distribution lists.
