THE ROLE:

CAB International (Regional Bioscience Centre Pakistan) is seeking Women Field Trainer through it’s third-party contracting firm (United Human Resource Services Pvt. Ltd) to implement the donor funded project on Better Cotton in Haroonabad, District Bahawalnagar, Punjab.  The selected candidates for Women Field Trainer (WFT) will be expected to implement plan for training of female farm workers related to approved training topics. 

Key accountabilities

The selected candidates will be expected to provide implementation support within CABI Pakistan on approved training topic for female farm workers. She will also be responsible but not limited to;

  • Training of female farmers and workers on approved training topics.
  • Survey for selection of potential farmers and workers
  • Conduction of meetings with women beneficiaries for developing business linkages and capacity building.
  • Training of cotton pickers in the field at village level to enhance and preserve fibre quality.
  • Keep an up-to-date record of field activities at learning groups and medium farms.
  • Facilitate the producer unit to conduct credibility checks, including PU support visits and external verifications.
  • Aware the women regarding women empowerment.
  • Frequent field visits for capacity building of learning groups and Medium Farms.
  • Prepare training reports and maintain training record.
  • Act as focal person at village level pertaining to women workers trainings and correspondences.
  • Complete and timely submission of any assignment given by line manager.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in any related field
  • Experience in social mobilization among the farming community. 

Personal Characteristics

  • Proven networking, team-building, organizational and communication skills
  • Willingness for field visits to interiors of lower Punjab for meetings with farmers.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, Self-motivated, an enthusiastic team player.

ROLE DETAILS

Reporting to: Woman Project Coordinator

No. of positions: 10

Contract: 11 months with 3 months probation period. The placement will be made through third-party contracting firm (United Human Resource Services Pvt. Ltd) 

Key Peer group: PU Manager, Project Coordinator, Project Officer M&E

Salary Range: 40,000 PKR (Gross)
