Search for Justice is hiring a Monitoring & Evaluation Officer to manage the Monitoring and Evaluation-related functions of the organization.

Location: The position will be based in Lahore, but the candidate will be required to travel to other districts of Punjab as per work requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

This role is responsible and accountable for, but not limited to, the following:

Job Responsibility

  • Support all M&E initiatives for the project, including quality data collection, monitoring, tracking the progress of activities, and contributing to capacity-building initiatives for the project team as necessary.
  • Conduct regular field visits to intervention areas to obtain first-hand information on the status and quality of service delivery to the beneficiaries.
  • Timely report monitoring findings, observations, and deviations from the approved project implementation plan, as well as relevant recommendations to Management for appropriate course correction measures.
  • Regularly report to the Project Coordinator and Management on the progress of project-related issues and challenges, and suggest improvements for identified areas.
  • Collect and document case studies and success stories related to project interventions.
  • Compile segregated beneficiary data and share the updated number of beneficiaries with management.
  • Develop a child-friendly monitoring mechanism to ensure that children are part of the monitoring process.
  • Develop efficient and user-friendly data collection tools and templates for partner organizations, government officials, and volunteers to report progress made towards achieving the project results.
  • Identify strengths and weaknesses in existing data collection and management systems and propose solutions to the Head of the Organization.
  • Support and participate in project/program evaluations.
  • Document lessons learned and good practices and share them with all concerned.
  • Support project management in the preparation of donor reporting, including, but not limited to, reviewing donor reports to ensure the quality and reliability of data and the timely submission of reports.

Working Conditions

 

  • This is a full-time position (9 am to 5 pm) based in Lahore. The role will also involve frequent outstation travel.

Qualification & experience

  • University degree in social sciences, public policy, Management sciences or equivalent.
  • 3 years of strong M&E experience with a good understanding of research approaches and tools.
  • Experience in the monitoring and evaluation of projects, and the ability to draft high-quality project/donor reports.
  • Experienced in implementing both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Skilled in conducting research and monitoring the quality of data collection.
  • Proficient in complying with and monitoring data quality checks.
  • Excellent time management skills and knowledge of various data analysis software, such as SPSS, MS Excel, and Epi Info, etc.

Skills

  • Excellent report writing and analytical skills.
  • Familiar with different methods used for M&E.
  • Must be proficient in working with MS Office.
