Position Objectives:

The role will be responsible for Driving and Maintenance of Program vehicles so that delivery of project activities can be implemented to ensure smooth and good quality.

Specific Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities:

1.        

Assigned as driver to perform staff duty and as per needs basis duty with the Program Manager and other staff members.

2.        

Driving staff to and from office to field, mail delivery, and pickup/drop of senior officials to the project activity area.

3.        

Driving locally within the vicinity of the assigned district and outstation field areas across the country.

4.        

Maintaining a Logbook daily including keeping a record of trips including kilo-meters traveled, fuel consumed and cost, and dates of oil changes, all according to established procedure.

5.        

Responsible for the respect of traffic rules according to the country's regulations.

6.        

Make ensure that all passengers wear seatbelts, including the driver himself.

7.        

Be aware of security at each point of drop off or pick up and keep staff safe during the journey.

8.        

Ensure that the vehicle has all required registrations/licensing and inspections and that necessary documentation is retained with the vehicle.

9.        

Ensure the vehicle has a sufficient amount of fuel, maintain the vehicle’s cleanliness, and ensure its security for daily use and proper evening and weekend storage at the office site.

10.    

Maintaining proper record of the vehicle service and change of motor oil and filter etc. well in time under the organization policy

11.    

Keep overall checking of the vehicle daily like engine, body, and proper cleanliness, polishing, etc.

12.    

Ensuring all the safety measures before going on long travel like a tool kit, first aid box, ice box, extra tires, fueling and air-pressure keeping a valid driving license, road maps, proper checking of vehicle lighting, mirrors, important and emergency contact Nos.

 Education.

 Minimum qualification Matric from recognized institution.

Experience.

2  years experience as a driver in a reputed Organization. Social / Humanitarian sector experience would be a great benefit. Must have valid driving license.

 Skills / Knowledge.

• Extensive Knowledge of the duty area
• Security Trained
• Preferably Local
• Knows Local Languages
• Can communicate verbally in Urdu & Sindhi
• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and long hours
• Ability to travel frequently and for extended periods of time

Maximum age limit up to 45 years.
