Position Objectives: Under the direct supervision of the Program Officer, the position contributes to increasing the capacity of Staff & Volunteers to integrate protection, gender, and inclusion policies and tools across the program area to reduce gender and diversity inequality, gender discrimination gender-based. The position would provide technical support in mainstreaming Protection, Gender and Diversity,analysis, considerations into all programs and services. Assist to PO in strengthening community empowerment and accountability mechanisms to drive effective humanitarian initiatives that foster trust, inclusivity, and resilience within the communities. |

Specific Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities: |
Assist to PO in mainstreaming of PGI & CEA and in consolidating efforts for PGI in response to emergencies |
|
Assist to PO in the implementation of the PGI & CEA Minimum Standards, reduce PGI risks in the operational environment, and build sustainable local capacity. |
|
Assist to PO Contribute to identifying PGI & CEA success stories to promote & Liaise with COM unit |
|
Assist to PO in conducting field levels conflict sensitivity analysis exercises with relevant stakeholders and ensure programs “Do not harm” in their communities. |
|
Conduct gender, age and diversity analysis is done and updated regularly to respond to beneficiaries needs |
|
Conduct and document gender and diversity analyses and assessments of operations and identify best practices |
|
Assist to PO in various assessment of ongoing activities, including the identification of potential and existing strengths that can be advantage to improve access to women and girls and other marginalized groups: report will highlight lessons learned, key regional bottlenecks and potential solutions. |
|
Conduct awareness raising sessions to ensure buy-in, understanding of the concept of equality, inclusion, how it relates to project activities, impacts program and project response. |
|
Assist to PO to support to other programs of for the assessment of PGI risks, vulnerabilities, needs and capacities to support DRR, Health and Disaster Response programming |
|
Update stakeholder mapping and ensure MoM of meetings conducted are shared timely with team |
|
|
Conduct volunteer capacity building trainings with the PESA, PGI standards and policy. |
Education |
|
Masters Degree in social sciences preferably Gender Studies, Sociology from recognized Institution. |
|
Experience. |

Skills/ Knowledge |

Traveling. |
|
Flexibility to travel into the fields for conduct of monitoring & other related tasks. |
