Our primary focus lies in elevating the healthcare sector in Pakistan, where we operate as a catalyst for achieving improved health and well-being, reducing inequality, bolstering rural health, managing disasters, conducting research and advocacy and mobilizing global resources to address local needs nationwide. Our aim is to equip the population to withstand the far-reaching impacts that extend beyond health into livelihood, nutrition, climate, education and other aspects that can indirectly aid health development. We align our initiatives with various development goals tailored to strengthen the healthcare system.

Job Summary:

The DOPASI Foundation intends to hire a dynamic and talented Communications Officer. The Communications Officer will play a crucial role in assisting the Communications Manager in shaping our organization's visual identity and online presence. This role requires a highly creative individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for producing captivating visual content. The Communications Officer will be responsible for photography, videography, content editing, graphic design, video animation, and social media management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate creative ideas and concepts for multimedia content that align with the organization's goals and resonate with the target audience.
  • Assist in capturing high-quality photos and videos that effectively convey the organization's mission, initiatives, and impact. This includes on-site photography/videography, editing, and post-production work.
  • Support in capturing key moments during organizational events, workshops, and initiatives through photography and videography to document and showcase impact.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program managers, copywriters, and designers, to develop cohesive and impactful multimedia campaigns.
  • Assist in designing visually compelling graphics for various purposes, such as social media campaigns, promotional materials, event collateral, and reports.
  • Contribute to creating engaging animated videos that effectively communicate complex ideas and information in an accessible manner.
  • Help manage and curate visual content for the organization's social media platforms. Contribute to developing and implementing strategies to enhance the organization's online presence and engagement.
  • Work closely with the communications and marketing team to support in developing and executing integrated visual content strategies that align with overall communication goals.
  • Assist in developing storyboards and visual concepts for multimedia projects, ensuring alignment with the organization's messaging.
  • Contribute to maintaining and managing photography and videography equipment to ensure optimal functioning and availability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Arts, Media Management, Visual Communications, Graphic Design, Film Production, or related field.
  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in photography, videography, graphic design, and content creation. Development sector experience including USAID is a plus.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects) and other relevant tools.
  • Knowledge of current trends in visual and multimedia content creation.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of creativity.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience with social media management and content scheduling tools is a plus.
  • Flexibility to travel to various project locations as needed.
