Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Implementation:

Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, objectives, and milestones, ensuring alignment with Pakistan Red Crescent's mission and goals.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, government agencies, and local communities to foster strong relationships and ensure effective project delivery.

Budget Oversight:

Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial accountability throughout the project lifecycle.

Team Supervision and Support:

Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance, support, and mentoring to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

Implement robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to track project progress, assess impact, and identify areas for improvement.

Reporting:

Prepare comprehensive reports on project status, achievements, challenges, and recommendations for timely submission to stakeholders and donors.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

Ensure compliance with organizational policies, humanitarian standards, and legal/regulatory requirements in all project activities.

Risk Management:

Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address project-related challenges proactively.

Capacity Building:

Identify training needs and opportunities for capacity development among project staff and partners.

Engage with the country program and technical team to ensure consistent accountability towards Norwegian Red Cross rules and regulations, guidelines, and deadlines.  

Work closely with the partner (PRCS) staff and volunteers in the field and provincial offices.

Person Specifications:

  • University Degree, preferably in Health
  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in project coordination/management, preferably within the humanitarian (health) sector.
  • Strong understanding of humanitarian principles, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and project management tools/software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and under pressure.
  • Fluency in English and Urdu; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
  • Excellent drafting skills preparing plans and reporting on humanitarian projects with measurable results. Results oriented and ability to work towards achieving objectives and results. 
  • Ability to convince and gain acceptance with the community and stakeholder buying-in.
